Another DT announcement from Achilles -

We will be testing a new set of prices during the following days. Don't worry if you receive royalties that are different or higher than what you are used to, they are correct and according to the percentages displayed in the Sell your images page (of course, for other credit values). Considering this is still under development, we will not be making any other announcements until we know the new structure works and is viable. Thank you.

I think they provided themselves an out...who says the royalties will necessarily be higher? Different can also mean lower.

"Higher" unlikely to cause worry but "different" might  ;D  gotta love the phrasing

Something going on with levels.  My 3s are now 4s; One sales jumps to level 2.
Yep:  can't figure out yet what will be level 1 or level 0?

Could be the answer to my question about the 28 cent subs?

I think you're right - mine have changed levels as well.  If the change is to get us more money then I hope it will be successful.

Don't hold your breath. My earnings at DT have essentially flat-lined for the last 4 years despite several changes to the pricing architecture and image levels (not to mention commission decreases). I actually earned slightly more in March 2008 at DT than I did last month.

If they don't fix the search, I don't care what levels they make the images, it won't make any difference to me :)

Tangie indicated things will be back to normal by the end of the week.  I haven't had an image downloaded on DT since March 28th and I'm $3.39 from payout.  It's killing me...

I noticed my levels were off (1 sale = level 2). I can see doing away w/ level 0 and just shifting the level #s.

I sure hope by different they don't mean less, and I hope that this doesn't come with another commission % decrease. Those have been quite damaging to my income in the past (not to mention my morale and feelings about DT).

I hope they get things all sorted out over there and can tell us what is really going on soon (and I  hope it is actually a positive change for the contributors too).

BTW - the images I uploaded mid day Friday were available to be processed on Monday. They still claim the normal 150 ish hour review time though.

Today I got first download for 2 different images . They are level 2 now, ok... but just one of them appear on earnings page. Other was reported on my Facebook, via "Dreamstime Promotion Tool".

Anyone notice something like that after this "level update"?

( Already report to DT Support )

Solved. FB Tool was faster than site itself :D

I noticed that for my sales, after the Price (in My Earnings window), it says 14 credits (2010). What does that (2010) mean? It is after all the sales except for subscriptions. Sorry if it was discussed before, I missed it.

2010 is a misleading indicator. It means that your image was purchased with credits that were bought with 2010 pricing. It is a type of credit, not the exact year in which they were bought. Prior to that there were 2008 credits and they were good up to 2010 and beyond if the buyer still had some left over when the 2010 credit prices went into effect. There were no 2009 or 2011 or 2012 credits. So, the last credit price change was in 2010 and that's how they refer to the credits. Seems they could come up with a different name, probably just "credits".

0.24 USD for L subscription. This is not higher royalty than what I am used to.

Every time sites raise their prices, I seem to get an earnings boost with SS :)  Price increases have such a high correlation with lower commissions and flat or lower earnings in recent years, I'm not going to get excited until we're told the full details.

None of my files that sold climbed up in levels, it seems only the bad news some of you expected came true; I got payed less than ever for a level 0 XS DL:

1 credit (2010)   $0.18   extrasmall

It does seem so. It appears to me that buyers prefer simple pricing structures that they can easily budget for. How complex or bizarre can DT's latest effort be if they can't even reveal it to their contributors?

Indeed. Or how manipulative ;)
