Just saw their "new" look!
OK maybe a bit of an overstatement but they cleaned it up a bit.
-
Quite lost at first, but after the first shock it seems cleaner and leaner.
-
It hates ie. I'm going to have to give in and start using Firefox all the time.
-
IMHO totally unimaginative and boring. Looks exactly like every other corporate web site. Well I guess that fits with the "stock imagery" concept, doesn't it?

YAY!!!!
As a web developer, I'll have to write Dreamstime a big "Thank you" letter! IE needs to go the way of the dinosaurs. It's not W3C compliant, needs a billion CSS workarounds, etc.
Any time that I hear of someone no longer using IE, it's cause for celebration.
P.S. In spite of the whole Getty/Google fiasco, I find Chrome to be superior to Firefox. I went from IE to FF to Chrome.

Wow, the site has serious problems with IE 10 in Win8. Much as I like to see MS go down in flames when it tries to kill standards, this can't be good for business at DT.

as a layman - and a MAC user - I too prefer Chrome over all the rest. Can't stand Safari.

Interesting observation. Let me ask you something:
How creative does an agency have to be? Especially in terms of their web design?
Sure a funky web design can create (generic) traffic but isn't it more important for DT to serve as a efficient platform for creative CONTENT and therefore providing this content as simple and easy as possible?
I've seen a bunch of "creative" stock image sites with huge wallpaper images that look great and everything but navigation was almost non-existent or hard to find.
I'm not saying that DT's revamped design is the best ever but doesn't it still deliver what buyers are looking for?

Oh sure. I suppose. [yawn]
A web site like DT's is a store, and stores need visual appeal. This is a store that sellls "design", to designers. Not overalls to farmers.
There's nothing wrong with their site. It just didn't do anything for me.

A little awkward initially but only because its new. I had a terrible time trying to delete submitted images with the old system (yes....even I've had second thoughts about certain submissions). Just tried with the new system and it works quickly and efficiently and with multiple submissions. ;D
-
Remember Lucky Oliver? Now that site had visual appeal and....
Oh yeah. ;)
Where has the button to go straight to Member Management area gone? I see you can get there by entering Online Files and then clicking the link before, but I need a button!
-
I'm lost! Where are my pending images, that show how much longer the review time is?
-
IE still commands the majority of the marketplace, so any site that doesnt work under IE is going to annoy and chase away users. ms IT designers cant seem to realize this

That's the missing link! If you go to the contributor tab, hit your online files, you will see a link at the top. If you click the "member management area" of that like you can get to that old area - but I can't find the direct link in any tabs.

Thanks. That's not very intuitive, but I'll make that my Dreamstime homepage.

In the black bar at the top, to the right side, is a link to the Management Area and it takes you to the old familiar screen with the round buttons linking to the various areas for managing your portfolio.

Actually, not quite true anymore. ;)

Nothing impressing... Is more complicated :(
-
They changed the layout but nothing else? :o What about a nice submitting system like Fotolia or 123RF. Come on Dreamstime

THanks, I could not find that yesterday I don't think it was there. Still a work in progress! It looks like the lightbox that was stuck in the middle of my screen has been fixed also (at least on my laptop).
-
Oh brother, now I can't see the box on the top with basic info - earnings, # files etc. When I click to go to my info page all the photos go into a single vertical row, instead of a horizontal row.
All looks good in Firefox though!

You can check how any page on any site renders in all the different browsers by entering the url here - http://browsershots.org/ (http://browsershots.org/) It has come in handy for me when coding web pages.

Very useful. Thanks.

Handy indeed! I also find the Chrome extension "IE Tab" to be very useful for developing. It shows in real-time what a URL looks like in several different versions (can be changed in the settings) of IE.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the centered text everywhere, even the forums looks horrible, I'd go as far as to say almost offensive?
Ah, just noticed it looks fine on Chrome.
-
Struggling to get to the management area. Seemed much easier in the old way.
Just saw their "new" look!
OK maybe a bit of an overstatement but they cleaned it up a bit.

There's a link directly to it on the black strip at the top of every page.
