We're releasing a new feature, one that was requested a lot lately. Starting today buyers can zoom into an image and see an enlarged area of that image. The preview is protected with embedded watermarks and is slightly sharpened to limit the blur added by the resize. The result is very close to the original image and should help buyers purchasing the right image for them. It should increase sales while limiting the refunds.
The feature is available only to buyers and only for photos with more than 15 downloads. It will be available for more images as the time goes by. Generating 4M+ images takes a while ;)
I confess that I wasn't among the feature's fans, because of fraud potential. Reason why we open it only to buyers initially, while we monitor the results carefuly. If the number of fraud reports will increase, we will have to turn it off. Hopefuly that will not happen and the feature will help increasing sales.
