one thing is certain. he has to use his real name for getting paid.
so, if e.g. DT has his file, they could inform the others about him.

he wouldn't be using a fake name for that, as he wouldn't be able to get paid. :o

my goodness, are you guys thinking it's an insider ripoff?
this can open a can of worms... like why certain good photos are rejected from many of you long time members.

this could be exciting... and scary,, too (for a newbie!) :P

Everyone remember Joma said this and not me!  :) :)

Well, I questioned the Anyra link based on what has been discovered. It's just too fishy. Site Admins should be beyond reproach, period. In my opinion, they should not be allowed to market images, nor show favoritism towards ANY photog. A Site Admin should be just that, and nothing else.

well, i just deleted all my photos waiting for reviewing from DT.
just in case  ;)
won't UL until this is solved.

He has to have a paypal account or Moneybookers account and I don't think their security requires a real name. They need a valid bank account (at least Paypal does) and they need to be able to deposit money in it (they do a couple of little tests when verifying your account) and they need an e-mail address that works. I don't think there is any guarantee that you have a valid name in any of that.

Back from my errands and notice that the thief's stuff is still up at DT in spite of Scott's thread (an admin says they need to investigate and to be patient and wait until Monday...).

Noticed that the guy has stolen from Barsik too - the red stage curtains:

So I sent her a comment on her DT image - perhaps the more contributors with stolen images contact them, the more likely they are to just do something instead of  investigate.....

Someone on the Dreamstime board has posted this list.  Presumably these are all portfolios of stolen images.  I haven't had time to look at them all.

http://www.dreamstime.com/Muhamed2525_info
http://www.dreamstime.com/Angolanka_info
http://www.dreamstime.com/Missti_info
http://www.dreamstime.com/Kassiu_info

http://www.dreamstime.com/Jabloknet_info
http://www.dreamstime.com/Mili69_info

None of these but the first (Muhamed) shows any images at all.  Don't know if the site managers have removed them or if they weren't there to start.

My personal opinion is that this might be a referral scheme of his. Zillman98 refers Muhamed2525, M2525 posts more pilferred images and sells, etc, etc etc. More stolen images spread across more users, and making money plus off of all of them. That's my theory anyway. The users with no images just haven't gotten started yet is all. Will take them at least 8 weeks to pump in 1200 mages. Quite a little scheme but I think it just imploded.

good idea .  the owner is bound to be more concerned than the sites they contribute to.  so you have the right idea, find a theft, write to the photographer or illustrator.
they would raised hell  >:(

How stupid is this?? Here one snatched from Lumaxart2D, the artist who does all those Gold Guys.

The Zillman version

THe Lumaxart2D version

Ok I'm done - this one was the topper for me and the ultimate in thieving stupidity.

OMG how stupid can you be to take one of the gold guys?? I surprised it didnt ring alarm bells with the reviewer.

I looked through his port and none of them mine at first yay! then I thought about, none of my images were even good enough to be stolen :(

oh well, just keep learning

Just an update - the offending portfolio and a related one was shut down at DT approx 15:30 Eastern Time.

Posting because there are a few related threads on this.
