I am waiting for my release from exclusivity on another site and have just been accepted at Dreamstime. However, I need to disable my images NOT delete so I can turn them back on when independent.

How do I do this please ?

No entrance exam at DT - just hold off uploading until you gain your freedom.

You can disable your image (list of your images - edit - disable) and enable it again later.

I emailed them and they kept mine back until I had dropped my crown.  This went a bit wrong though and my images ended up stuck in the queue for a couple of weeks, so keep on top of it, ie email them back to confirm that your crown has gone, even if you have previously told them the date that this will happen as they won't have retained this information and will just hold your images in limbo until they hear from you.

Thanks. I could only disable one image, the other it wouldn't let me. It states that only one can be disabled.

As for joining, I am not sure of how well it will go reading all the negative posts here regarding Dreamstime.

Don't disable images - you can only disable a certain percentage of your port unless it's 6 months or more old.

Contact support and they will suspend your portfolio. Then upload and get things approved. Once you're past your 30 day wait, write to support again and ask them to enable it. That's how I did it with DT back in May/June

In this thread http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_23946 (which unfortunately has expired - maybe you can talk them into it again!) they talk about e-mail to allow uploads without being online, and then following up later to activate the whole portfolio...

No.  They told me I have to disable the files myself. :-\

I have emailed them to request they disable my images so I can upload but I never heard back.

There's a notice on the front page - seems contact form hasn't been working since 20th so might be worth checking if your latest mail is before or after they noticed...

Unless DT has a glitch or something, this is no longer true.  I checked my disabled files a few weeks ago in hopes of reactivating one and all my disabled files were gone.
