They had it some years ago, but dumped it...
Now, you only can select which information you want to copy from the previous photo.

Its the only reason why I only have 140 images up. I really cant be bothered to upload 2500 images 1 by 1
-
Using populate helps (a little)
-
To be honest, it doesnt, as I still need to go through them 1 by 1 and click at least 2 or 3 times per image.

upload by ftp with iptc and pick 1 default category, easier than ft, marginally more hassle than ss but a dream compared to is

Fotolia has batch processing (it's called indexing there).
Aaaanyway, yeah, they're probably trying to reduce the "spam"/similar images and so on, cause I'm sure they have the technical capabilities to implement batch processing. They don't want to. Fine.
I earn less there - they earn less from the content I could have provided.
It's actually a loss-loss, but somehow in their heads it's probably a win-win. Too bad.
-
My new uploads takes hours to appear for me to be able to edit them.
-
Can't believe they cannot implement such simple thing. Nobody is going to waste time doing 1000s images one by one.

They want to avoid people having many similars because of their pricing system. It only takes a couple of seconds to copy the categories from an earlier upload. I've uploaded about 6,000 one-by-one - over a long time, though.

you might sail around that problem by simply using an ftp program for uploading (where you also can batch-submit or even write a script to do more fancy selections).
