I know it is only one full week into March on Dreamstime but I've never seen such low sales - this is the lowest I've seen for one full week in almost two years  :-[

Me too - $146 in February, $10 in March so far.

Shutterstock is pretty lame as well with very few ODs for me. Plenty of subs, but that is no way to earn a living!

I have noticed DT seems to run in 3 modes. No sales, subs sales, and credit sales. If it was running credit sales over the weekend and you just got no sales, and then in no sales mode during the week - you get no or low sales for a week. If it is in subs mode you get mostly subs and that is a pretty low $ total. Last month was pretty good for sales at DT for me, but I still had a gap with no sales from 2/19 to 2/25 - this is with almost 2000 (granted mostly LCV) images up.

Not that it doesn't suck to have a week with no sales, but unfortunately I don't see that as particularly out of the ordinary at DT these days.

I am NOT a big seller, but one think I've noticed about DT is that every month about this time I say OH MY!  WHAT IS WRONG WITH DT?  Then at the end of the month they are within 20 dollars of every other month.  Very steady and reliable.

generally reliable for me but that is the problem....compared to the rest of the top 4 they are standing still and are in danger of being overtaken by two of the middle tier.

I was wondering why things were so hot on DT right now, compared to last month.  Apparently we are on opposite wavelengths.  Over 100 sales so far in March, and higher RPD than Feb for me...

March has been great for me on DT so far!  I had what looks like one buyer come in and purchase 10+ files from one shoot all at credit prices.  I've made more in the first week of March than I did in all of February.  Never had that happen before, pretty weird.  Usually that kind of thing is all subscriptions.

DT seem to have a rotation system for the best match. I get a sequence of not many downloads, most subs, then I get a few credit sales.

Feb was terrible, lowest earnings since the first month I started there in 2007. It was basically 90% subs in Feb for me.

Looking at the earning poll at the right is seems that the numbers are way down everywhere

I've got such a sudden, extreme drought that I'm wondering if there is a problem reporting sales there. I've only got three subs showing for the last four days which must be my worst result since late 2004.

Bad start of March, but yesterday was already my BME on DT.

Sales seem very erratic and sudden.

I am having the same no problem----no sales in weeks.  Whereas I had sales almost every day.  i am only two dollars from a payout.

Yesterday 0.49 was added to my earnings in Dreamstime, but it doesn't show which file was sold. Is this from partner program, and if yes is there a way to see where and how it was sold?

Me too. A .33 earning added to the total "earning balance" in the main page, but no new files in the sold list or in the statistic.

In my experience, it always takes from a few minutes to up to a couple of hours for the sales to be shown in the "My Earnings" area.

The recent changes in some areas of the DT site have caused major problems that they are still trying to sort out. I had an illustration accepted over 24 hours ago and it still hasn't shown up. I can see it by typing in the id number but it is not listed in my port or my list of uploads or on my profile page. Yes, I have had to wait several hours in the past but this is not a server lag but a server problem. I emailed Support about phantom links showing up in my referral list which go to accounts that are not real and that contain images from a group of members (and non-members with no names) instead of one person and they told me it was a problem with the "new layout". The only thing new I see is the upload screens. Perhaps it depends on what server (I'm sure they have many) your images are housed on.

I hope these problems with phantom links and groups of people including some with no names doesn't mean that sales are not being recorded properly. Right now, DT is performing way below Canstock for me. It doesn't seem normal (and my images still seem to be well placed in the search).

Paul, click on the referral links in your profile. Am I the only one with odd referral links? Your referrals go to ports listed as N/A and that contain images from several. Am I missing something?

I've only got two links, they both go to people without any uploads - but that's not particularly surprising.

DT is way below normal for me this month.  Thought it was just normal ebb and flow, but maybe not.  Right now I am going on 3 days without a sale which is WAY NOT NORMAL. At a minimum I get 2-4 sales a day.

Just this instant a 14 credit sale for yesterday has popped into my account.  So far, it is my only sale from yesterday.
But I don't think the earnings total has changed (for my own reference it's currently 62.59). I don't know if the cash was credited before the sale appeared or not.

A decent month and heading for my best quarter since joining in 2010 - but they are still plodding along several fences behind the rest of the top four...looking increasingly like a tired old nag ready to be put out to pasture.

PS. Site is down again for me.

This is what I see when I click on the link for your first referral link. There are images there -

When I click on the images, they go to different ports.

That's exactly what happened, but this time it took almost 24h. DT now shows which files were sold.

When I went to bed last night (West Coast US) I had no sales for yesterday (March 25th) which seemed very odd. This morning I see a credit sale that supposedly happened Mar 25 at 9:15 am and I'm almost certain that my balance went up from what I saw last night. So they are much more behind in reports than the usual minutes or an hour or two.

My $ total went up yesterday, but the sale wasn't reported 'til this morning.

Sales there do seem sporadic. lots of subs, nothing for days, and a fair number of credit sales. The latter is the one that actually makes a difference for the total.

My RPD and total this month is pretty weak - still better than the disastrous January. I am at about 50% of the Feb - Mar avg right now.

I know I stuck up for DT earlier in this thread but now that the end of the month is near this is the worst month I have had at DT since before I started keeping a spreadsheet in 2006 oops 2007.

March was mostly subs - sales were trending up but revenue down - now I just checked (it's been 48 hrs) and I have a slew of 12-14 credit sales and that orange line is heading up, beating out January and February and neck and neck with December, looking to be a decent month. In the past few days my sales have nearly doubled. A welcome sight. Still well behind SS and my own site, but upward trends are always welcome.  DT is generally inconsistent but it manages to rally for me nicely whenever there's been an unusual dip. 8)

Extremely slow this month - fewest sales of the four agencies I submit to. On the flip side - just about everything submitted has been accepted. Still my favorite site for overall image assessment and contributor ergonomics.

Quite a few sales of reasonable size flopped in the door like teenagers late home from a rained out music festival (from 25th and 26th??) which makes me feel slightly less hard done by.

This month started out slow, probably due to the website changes and down time.  And like others, there was quite a bit of lag reporting sales earlier in the week.  They seem to have gotten it sorted out though, and the month is finishing well.

Hope this bodes well for a good April.  Except of course for Easter break, which is always a bummer for sales.

March has been a mess for me, no sales on any agency except getty and 123rf. I had thought that DT had finally started to give me consistent sales, but its an absolute blank in march

My sales have softened on all the sites in the last week or two. The first weeks of nice weather are here in some of the Northern Hemisphere, and in the US Spring Breaks are beginning - some schools in my area are out this week - even though Easter is a long way off. I am a little pessimistic about April.

For me, everything has been pretty normal except DT, which has fallen off a cliff in March.  Total sales are about one quarter of normal, my worst month since 2007, when I had only 300 images on-line (now about 1500).    There is obviously something strange going on at DT, and it would be incumbent on management to make some clarification about it.

As already mentioned, DT spent a good part of March updating the website, which is probably the reason for reduced sales.  Don't think it's anything more curious than that.

Apart from down-time for the site - which wasn't a large percentage of the month - I don't see why updates should reduce sales unless the update affects the visibility of certain files (i.e. search changes).

My month has ended up rather average - currently sixth place out of the last 12, with a chance of moving into fourth or fifth - but it has been very patchy.

This is on the DT site in FAQs -

Q I received unusual royalties for images sold. What could the explanation be?

A Royalties different from the ones you see displayed on the Sell Your Images page are due to various factors.

The most common explanation is the actual credit value per each package a buyer purchases. The more credits the package has, the lower the price/credit. Each credit's value and hence royalties are now calculated at the real value paid by the buyer.

For example, 8 credits purchased with the $9.99 package, will bring the contributor a reference of $1.25/credit: the royalties for a 8 credits image will vary between $3 (non exclusives, level 1) or $6 for exclusives. A $99.99 credit-package will bring the buyer 108 credits, which translates into $0.93/credit. Royalties for a 8 credits image are $2.23 (non exclusives, level 1) and $4.46 for exclusives. Add to the above the possibility of having third party downloads through our alliances or the value of withholding taxes for non-US contributors and you will understand why royalties values are so diverse. The price per credit PPC can also be affected by seasonal promotions and discount campaigns.

Extra small for a low level image is often less than a sub

....and $0.35 for a level 3 TIFF? :-\
Still better than a sub most places.  I dont have much of a problem with this (except in so far as sub prices suck generally) as I havent provided anything extra.  Same sub prices for addition format on the other hand

The weekend surprised me with some large credit sales and I've sailed past my previous BME.

I'd like to think this uptick is a sign of things to come however, after a good quarter, DT usually likes to put me back in my place by exiling me to the realm of the unwashed and unwanted.

No sales this month. Nothing! I have about 5500 files ther and this has never happened before. My fourth day into April and I still have a 0 on my earnings balance. I guess I'll have to stop uploading for a while. It's not worth it. March turned out to be bad also. What's going on there?

I find that very hard to believe that with 5500 files you didn't get a single sub in 31 days? You are referring to March, right?

Yes, I referred to april. I made 6 (!) sales so far this month. Fortunately there were two credit sales but all in all this is very disappointing. I usually had a payment each month but  the last months I hardly make it in two months. For me DT is getting worse and worse. But hopefully things turn around..

March was one of my worst months ever, but thankfully I have reached March Sales already (April 8 ) so it looks like it's back to quasi normal for me.
