Does anyone besides me think that it's strange that this week's featured photographer only has 259 images at DT? How do they choose the featured photographer anyway?

Huh? Her profile says she has 1,775 files and 10,342 sales.

That is weird. I clicked the link for the featured photographer on the home page and that is the information it gave me. Now when I click it is a different photographer than what was was showing before.  ???

maybe you were seeing the homepage with the latest tab active instead of the welcome tab.

Why does the amount of images matter?  I have seen portfolios around that size that are amazing and should be featured.

I completely agree.  Size of portfolio has nothing to do with being featured photographer.

I was going to say exactly that.  Not that my own little portfolio deserves any recognition, but I've seen members with very small portfolios but excellent creative and vibrant images.

The images that I saw weren't that awe-inspiring. They were nice, quality photos, but nothing made them stand out that much. I think that I may have clicked on a different link or something. My mistake.

Good or bad they lost my respect when I saw they have 21 images offered as free. They might make a bit extra by being featured photog but I bet they'd prefer the commission from the 9529 free downloads they've given away.

No disrespect to the photographer, but what a perfect time to feature a BC Canada photographer with the BC Olympics starting on Friday.

I've seen her "Groovin Puppy" photo so many times, it still makes me smile every time I see it.  Wow, it's had 300 dls - on DT that is quite an achievement.

That puppy is awfully cute...:)
Speaking of featured photogs on DT - I was always wondering how they chose them. I was chosen as a featured on practically all agencies except for DT:) In spite of having over 40,000 sales there. The images they chose  as "editor's choice" are by far not the best images from my portfolio, either! I am starting to wonder if there is some sort of conspiracy there:)
