Well DT have informed me a potential buyer would like to purchase one of my files with exclusive rights license (SR-EL3). They give me a link to follow in the email (thinking it will be the details of the file concerned) and all it is is a link to what a SR-EL3 is.

So how am I supposed to know what image they are talking about ?  :-\

Any emails with a buyout request from Dreamstime always have DT's file number referenced in the communication. There's no direct link, you need to search the file number to view the image in question. Double check your email for a file number, copy it, open up DT's frontend and paste it in the search bar. Quick and easy.

How much do you get from such a deal?

Is it worth it ? I had an offer like this a couple of years ago and the buyer never responded.

It's always worth it if you have set a good price for buyout. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Percent is lets say correct but price expectation how much you will get is misguided/unknown because there is no price showed/defined how much $$ is SR-EL1 and SR-EL3 eg.(1/3 of SR-EL or 1/4 or whatever...)
My fried sold one SR-EL1 license defined by they default min price of 250$ for zero sold image but this price as he find is for SR-EL.
SR-EL1 is for 1 year exclusivity and he got whooping 30$ for that image. So he has much more job to do to erase that image from sites and much more mailings with few sites which dont want or they unwillingly want to erase that image because of their stupid TOS.
According to my logic license for SR-EL3 (3year exclusivity) price may will be btw 70-90$ which is too low for my opinion.

I just had an EL-1  today and I earned $375 so I think that's well worth it (I believe the licensee paid $750).

Don't sell your work short.
