Views don't mean much and lots of them are from bots anyway so wouldn't sweat it.

If you're concerned about a lack of views in only a two week stretch don't sign up with iStock..... ;)

I wonder why you are still wasting time with them, you have one stunning small portfolio!

Small, yes.  Stunning, that's very questionable, but thanks.  ;)

I've uploaded 4 images in the past two months so I certainly am not very active....been directing my attention to SS and Macrografiks as well as self-marketing....Symbiostock looks increasingly interesting.

guess that is a good idea but when I look at your portfolio I keep asking myself this guy should try Stocksy or Offset, for real! how relevant is microstock income for you? do you need it badly? wouldn't it be too much to risk?

I have never done anything in macro (beside some huge crops at 4MP ;D) but looking at your work it makes me wanna try, they are so delicate and nicely done Mark!

can I ask you which 200mm do you have?

sorry for going OT marusic01!

Thanks much.  I tried Stocksy but never heard anything back.

I shoot the Nikkor 200/4 (along with their 105), both great lenses.

I used to do strictly landscape, got into macro about 3 years ago and don't see myself going back. As for stock agencies I've been all over the place the last several years.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Back to marusic01....

thanks for your reply, appreciate it! I have been reading about Macro after this talk, getting to know a few more lenses, always interesting :)

I don't think they update views very regularly. Looking at my new images it seems they are at 0 for a while and then one will jump up a bunch (usually just one from each batch) - say to 20 or so, then it won't change again for another few days (meanwhile all the rest are still at 0). After a week or 2 I forget how many views they have so I don't know, except they aren't all 0 anymore.

I had a referral who uploaded one photo, it didn't get very many views, in fact my view might have been the only one in a month or more.
