I got entire bunch of photos rejected for poor lighting setup, but others with a really awful light seems to be accepted like these:

And how old these samples are? You should take that into account. Standards changed significantly and what was acceptable few years ago is not acceptable today and will not be approved.

Giving the image ID number, these must be from 2008.  It is still odd, standards were not that low then.

But anyway, don't expect that they will undo a rejection based on this.  You should better post your own rejected images here for evaluation.
