Title: RM at Dreamstime?
Post by: madelaide on May 25, 2006, 22:52
I don't know if you noticed that as of yesterday images appear in the earnings page tagged with "RF". There hasn't been any clear explanation yet, but it seems they will begin selling RM images as well. Will RM work in a traditional RF site? Let's wait and see what they're planing.

Regards,
Adelaide

I noticed that as well, but hadn't thought about it...  It links to part of the TOS, so it's a fair bet they might introduce RM stuff..  be interesting to see..

I guess they will only be able to offer Rights Managed terms on exclusive photographs so I am not sure that it will benefit many of us. I don't know of anyone who has gone exclusive with Dreamstime yet. It would be an odd decision to say the least - that's not to say it isn't a great site but it would be silly to rule out the others.

I do not think, that you have to be exclusive on DT to use RM, but we will see..

DT accepts exclusive images, which is a step ahead of IS that requires exclusive photographer.  So my bet would be that photos for RM will be required to be exclusive photos.

It seems many exclusive photographers are happy at IS - especially vector graphics designers.  So far, although I had more sales at IS than at DT, I've earned much more at DT.
