They used to have checkbox that was mandatory to check when submitting an image. Now in same place they have checkbox permitting to add rejected image to free collection. So be careful what you are clicking.

At least it pops up a dialogue if you click that Donate checkbox.  I think I clicked it about 1 time in 4 during my last submission.  Darn muscle memory won't let it go...

It's not really a problem unless you get rejections

Still nice they got rid of the checkbox and moved the verbiage down to the submit button. That's 70-100 clicks a week I don't have to make. Anything that makes the process easier is a win

And it isn't VERY sneaky - they give you a warning if you press it accidentally and DON'T want your photos in the free section, which is nice.

Noticed that yesterday and was worried that it had changed a while ago and I never noticed.  I've been trying to find out how many images I sent to the 'free' bin.  I guess none, since it would have warned me.  Guess I caught it before I clicked it.  (Not that I have rejections, anyway though ;D)

Very sneaky, IMHO the whole layout of that page is the worst of any site I deal with.  Incredibly inefficient.

Not nearly as bad as Fotolia. I wish they would drop the map. Hard to believe someone would click through a dozen times to drill down to a location rather than just type it in the search

there is another company that should have the same option when checking the box it should pop up- "Warning this image will sell for $.08"  :(

I find Fotolia quite easy if you use the indexing feature.  They have way too many categories, but that's another issue.  The submit process is quite simple especially if you batch like pictures.  I send things in batches of 20 and group all 'food' in one batch for example.  Then the categories can be selected for all images at the same time.

You aren't alone.  I hit it at least 4 or 5 times with the last batch of 40 I uploaded.  Thank goodness for that pop up warning!

I did it once and only realised when the warning came up.

I noticed one time that I had a photo marked exclusive, assuming I made a mistake. I couldn't work out how to make it nonexclusive so I had to disable.

With all the sherlock holmes around here I'd be sure to be caught ;)

I can't believe you all are uploading manually.. why aren't people using stocksubmitter?

Does using Stocksubmitter mean you don't need to put in categories? I use Stockuploader but still have to manually input the categories for each site, and therefore still have to go to the page in question on DT.

You still need to fill in categories but you can do it for 50 images all at once (providing they are all in the same categories). .. the same for model releases.  When submitting to several sites it is nice to have to only attach the releases once.  Then, when it uploads to the agencies you don't even have to visit the sites.. it automatically submits with categories, releases and all.

OK thanks - I will take a further look at it.
