Anyone having trouble passing your images through after uploading?  I uploaded using FTP, and everything worked fine.

When I started passing through the uploaded images (12 total), I was stopped at five and was given a message:
"Due to heavy uploading, submitters are limited to 50 in a 24hour period.."  In addition I was informed that there is an 85 hour backlog in Review.  Wow; DT must be busy!

50 is a bug they actually mean 5 :-) I guess nobody reported calculation error cause I have seen it for at least month.

There's no error. 50 is max for best acceptance ratio(80-100). Lower than that you only get a part
Users with an approval percentage of between 50-80% can upload the fifth part of the maximum amount of images daily.
Users with an approval percentage of between 30-50% can upload the tenth part of the maximum amount of images daily.
Users with an approval percentage of between 0-30% can upload the 30th part of the maximum amount of images daily.

Well on the upload page it does say the exact number. The quote in the OP was a generic message I guess.

wow, is this so?  at close to 80% but not quite there, and you only get  a fifth of the max , ie.10?
that 's not even proportional. what kind of arithmetic is this?  :D

Thanks for the feedback!  I used FTP to upload for the first time in about 8 months, so it slipped my mind.  I think I had about a 46% acceptance rate here.  When I first started submitting, they were accepting only 20 or 30 %, but I had managed to get that up to about 55% to 70% on my last submissions.  I figure I can get my numbers up over the next few months.

Now I will simply upload 4 images weekly (Like with Alamy) and see how things go.

Good luck with your sales guys and gals.

Hi Klauts, that is totally correct but please note that this is just a temporary decrease to 50 a day for best acceptance. The normal is 100. They just drop it down when they are getting swamped with images! I can usually submit 20 a day (on 76%) but it is 10 a day for the moment. It changes all the time, but they always put an announcement on the site when it does. BTW the limits apply both to uploads and submissions (so in my case I can upload 10 images a day and submit for review 10 images a day). Regards, David.

Yeah I know. I find them sufficent even at 10 per day, atleast for me anyway. It really sucks falling into the last tier tho. Happened to me when I joined and I knew  very little about stock.
You're also right about both the submission and upload, it kind of sucks in a way. I usually upload in the evening and DT is pretty slow processing the uploads, sometimes they get processed to late and I go to bed. So that way I use both my days for only 1 batch.

They did this a couple of months back too, the good news was that the limit was removed fairly quickly.

You can upload a bunch by FTP in advance, leave them in the unfinished section, and submit when you can at a lower pace. You will just have to put them in categories then: all the other work is already done.
