Worth uploading footage to Dreamstime?

(1/2) > >>

Pacesetter:
Thinking of other platforms to upload footage given the SS saga. My vids are already on Adobe Stock and Pond 5.

So is it worth uploading vids to Dreamstime?

Thanks

Would love to know as well

I started Dreamstime back in October 2019. My portfolio consistss of around 380 images and 380 videos. In total, to date, I have made $18.

Of course, I have Python scripts that manage the uploads to all the stock footage agencies at once, including creating the agency-specific keyword csv files, so it takes me almost no effort to continue uploading to Dreamstime at this point. So, personally, I have no real reason to stop despite how bad the earnings are. But if you don't automate it, I would say no.

In my experience you get $20 for 4K downloads an $6-10 for HD, $3-4 for lower size.
These are quite poor amounts, made me reconsider if i should upload.

This is before the proposed 10% raise, but still, low prices

Although I appreciate DT's royalty increase in the wake of the bomb Shutterstock dropped, I think DT is a terrible agency for video.
Video sales are almost non-existent and the average commission for HD and 4K is relatively low. Only after 10 downloads would you climb to a respectable commission, but very few videos will ever reach 10 sales on DT.
