Title: advice on animation created in Flash
Post by: zsooofija on November 06, 2016, 08:41
Hi,

After years of being a vector contributor, I decided to try footage also.
I created an animation in Adobe Flash CS6 and exported the file to .mov
It was rejected, due to technical error on fotolia, and it did not upload to depositphotos saying "video codec used to compress video is not supported".
I am a total beginner at this, maybe someone who creates video this way can help me how should I export / save my file in order to be approved.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I could not find the answer.

Thank you for any help!

Ok, my suspicion is that it's not possible, as no one answered...
Next question then: Anyone knows a free software to create a footage for stock out of JPGs or PNGs (like a stop motion animation) that I export out of this flash animation? If there is one...

Your best bet is to export your animation as a PhotoJPEG, Animation or H.264 .mov file, or an H.264 .mp4 file. Other formats or codecs may also be supported by some agencies.

Thank you both for the answer.
fritz: AE is After Effects?
Noedelhap: you mean to export it from MPEG_Streamclip or some other program, or is it possible to solve this only using Flash?

If you are exporting the animations as an image sequence out of flash, you can always open the image sequence in quicktime or photoshop and export it from there.

If you are exporting the animations as an image sequence out of flash, you can always open the image sequence in quicktime or photoshop and export it from there.

I exported the images from flash and then open in photoshop (following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inv46oS-iew (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inv46oS-iew) ), set 30fps and exported the video, a .mov file.

For me it looks fine, it is working (in all players I have), but I still get the same error message about video codec not supported.
Are there some additional settings or something else that needs to be done in order to work?
I am totally lost, after so many sleepless nights trying to figure this out :(.

I was really excited about creating animations (I still am) but this is so hard! I thought drawing the frames will be the hard part, but that was piece of cake compared to this  ;D

I would be really thankful for anyone that can help me a bit more (I think/hope I am close now).
