Any recommendations for 4K camcorder or video camera

08stock08:
Please recommend any camcorder or video camera for 4K. I already have a DSLR, shooting video with that is problem with the Battery. My DSLR shoots only HD. Looking for something not very expensive, the beginners budget or medium size cost.

SpaceStockFootage:
Panasonic GH5, Sony A7III, BMPCC4K if you have the budget. If not, maybe a Sony AX100 or a Panasonic G7. Just some suggestions, I'm sure there's some better options, but I know they shoot good footage.

microstockrank.com:
Maybe the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. (not very expensive and good price–performance ratio)

Both of the above replies are very good.  I have 4 kids in college or high school so I was late to upgrading my camera (Kids expect to eat every day!  ;) )

I recently purchased a Sony a7 III and a metabones adapter to keep using my Canon glass.  I've been happy with it.  That said, GH5, pocket camera, etc are all good choices.

What's your budget and what kind of shooting were you thinking of doing? what other gear may you need to get to support it?

Best,
Dennis

I can also vouch for the a7iii. Very happy with it. Even the kit lens isn't too bad but I also bought a cheapie adapter for my Nikon glass. No autofocus with the Nikon glass however which is a downside because the AF with native Sony glass is outstanding. I have to admit though I have my eye on the Fuji X-T3. The video specs look pretty amazing with 4K 30p at 400mbs and 60p at 200mbs. The Sony doesn't do 60p in 4K at all which is a definite negative for me.
