The VIXIA HF20 lets you record up to 12 hours of HD video to a 32GB internal Flash drive, and also lets you enjoy the option of recording directly to removable SDHC memory cards.

Also has 3 second pre-record. Which is funny, because you can catch something that happened three seconds before you push the button. WHo said we can't do time travel?  ;D

I was waiting for a new camera, but haven't seen the price on this one. I may be waiting longer. Basically, hard drive recorders have limited space, then you have to dump data. I've never had good feelings about RW-DVDs or the formats that they are stored. Tapes are the best quality, but we all know about heat, Temp and humidity and tape becoming spaghetti. Always that transfer thing again.

But removable SD cards and built in memory. This could be cool!
