I'm working on editing with EP7 for the first time and I don't get it. I can get this far, but how to I eliminate all the wasted time on the right side? When I export the clip I get something like a 12 minute clip with the first minutes and then I have to cut and save.

I'm missing on the trim clip or delete empty. (which I'm hit about 100 times, but the junk on the right never goes away.)

I set the crop and ??? now what?

I'm not sure about Elements, but in Premiere Pro, you can do one of two things:

Hope that helps!

Played with it some more. The problem I'm finding is when I open a new project the timeline is 11 minutes, and always the same. I need to clear that and it's done?

Meanwhile time-lapse fun...

TimeLapseAug Corner3 3 146 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3bp9OpOGU4#)

146 pictures, Photolapse, I converted it from AVI to MOV. And here we go again.

YouTube says unrecognized format.

Pond5 says acceptable codex for now, but they may refuse it in the future. What am I supposed to use? I'm using the default but there are also options and choices in MPEG streamclip. (I need to open and save AVIs because Pond 5 doesn't take those.

What's the best file type and codex to use?

MPEG Streamclip (http://postimage.org/)

Is there a best file type to use for Pond5, SS and IS?
