Are file sizes for 24fps vs. 30fps proportionally smaller all other things being equal?

Yes

Maybe not. What's the difference? It is better to load only in 30 fps.

I was just thinking, does it make sense to make my files bigger by shooting at 30fps? What benefit would there be in a world that accepts 24fps. Why not save a little file space (and processing resources) and go with 24fps? Is there a downside?

Of course there are disadvantages:
1. Video becomes less smooth.
2. Buyers buy videos for projects at 30 fps in general.
3. Television in buyers' countries is 30 fps standard.
4. You can make 24 fps out of 30 fps, but you can't make 30 fps out of 24 fps.
