Title: Has anyone tested Topaz Adjust Photoshop plug in? I found it to be unstable

I downloaded a trial version for CS2, and found it to be very unstable (I am rather disappointed with it). It would work for a few photos then an error msg would appear saying can't process due to program error. I have uninstalled and re-installed 4 times now and each time it would work once or twice and then same error msg would appear. It seems this is a major known problem from looking at postings on the web, plaguing those with plenty of RAM memory and those with the latest 2.6 version.

Does anyone have the same problem? and if yes, which version/software are you using, trial or licensed? If no, version, trial or licensed.

I get this message, but only when I have an incorrect layer selection (such trying to clone onto a hidden layer or such)

The more I use it without re-launching PS the more unstable it becomes.  Seems to be just fine for the first couple of files.  I like it enough that I plan to buy a copy though.

I love it. But, yes, my plugin crashes every time I try to use Denoise feature on large images (10 Mp). With small images it works well, but with large images I have to set slider to 0 on Noise tab, if I don't want to get error message.

I talked to Yang brothers: http://getsatisfaction.com/topazlabs/topics/program_error_message_topaz_adjust (http://getsatisfaction.com/topazlabs/topics/program_error_message_topaz_adjust) and did that TLTRACE-trick and they said the'll look into it, but it was a month ago.

Without using Denoise feature it works perfect to me, but I would like to use that feature, it gives wonderful results on smaller images.

ah, that seems to be the case for me, if I don't use Denoise, and on smaller files, it works most of the time, still crashed at times. I think I saw your post/communication with Topaz on a web forum on the issue and they said they are working on it and no news todate. I am surprised I have not seen more posts on the "crash" issue on the web.

It is a shame, the software is nice if only they fix the bugs.
so you ended up buying the license then?

Yep, I did. I just love it so much. :)
I'm using other tools to diminish noise (like NeatImage) and for some images I like grainy look (not for microstock though).
But I'm looking forward to the fix also.
