Forget it, user reviews are brutal on that product. LOL

I am about to purchase CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Deluxe, is that better.

Are there any other user friendly good video editors?

I use after effects, but it has a learning curve.

I use PowerDirector 9 and it is very good and easy to use. So I would say that 12 with all the additions from 9 that it would be a good one.

I am about to buy it, but I just noticed it doesnt support the 6D, no idea if that matters.

Also, I cant find anything on PhotoJpeg. THats a codec, but does a editor need to have that?

And does it output 1080p  ?

I bought Adobe Premiere Elements 11. So far I am happy with it. Lots of video tutorials and documents available.

I use Cyberlink PD 12 and it's pretty easy to use.  But there are a lot of "if you want more click here" stuff like additional color tools, etc that you have to pay for.

What codec do you use, or do you submit h264? All I need to do is strip audio, and give a bit more pop, maybe straighten horizons. And creating videos with image transitions and add audio. Basic stuff.

I am still working on my first video but the system has AVI, MPEG-2, H.264 AVC, WMV, MPEG4, MOV, MKV and AUDIO only, along with a lot of social media options.

Hmmm, ok thanks. I need to know if that program is sufficient enough for stock submissions.

Thanks though, appreciated

For stock clips MPEG Streamclip is sufficient and it is free.
It can convert your clips to the common formats and codecs, trim, mute sound etc.
If you need to clone out dust spots then you need additional software (After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)

I also use Sony Movie Studio Platinum, but for film projects and not for stock.
It is not very expensive, I bought a bundle with royalty-free soundtracks and loops from Sony.

Thanks guys,  I will look into stream clip. The other software you mentioned is too expensive at the moment.

Is converting to pjeg really needed? Does it increase sales?

I've used Adobe Premier Elements and Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum.  Both can be quite cheap, if you look for the best price.  Both do everything I need for stock clips.

Ron,

I dived deeper into outputs and found that you can manually set your codec outputs in Cyberlink Powerdirector.  For example, Pond5 requires quick time MOV. profiles.  Within the Quicktime output you have the following codec options:

Hope that brings more clarity to what this software can do.

Thanks again;

I also found out that if you put something in your cart and wait a few hours or a day you get a discount code. I purchased it at Herman Street, but got a 15% discount. Same happened with Corel, they also sent me a discount code when I left my cart. LOL.

I submitted 10 videos to SS today, but CanStockPhoto wont accept MP4. So instead of having to use several programs I can now do it all in one and be done with.
