In a couple of months and later this year I will be doing some expensive, remote shoots. First is a great white shark dive for a week then three weeks on a remote location in Fiji. I have the beach to myself (well, wife will be there, too). For Fiji I purchased a special underwater video production tripod where I will be doing some split level photography (half over the water, half under), 1-2 inched all under the water (to get reflection of the surface of the water, like a mirror) and 1-2 inches above the water, among some other things I have planned. I will be shooting the video through my D600's (I'll also be shooting stills, too) and thought that this might be a good test for me to enter the world of video in microstock.
So, questions:
1. Video in a D600 good enough? And what is the best shooting quality to use so it can be converted to MS requirements?
2. Is software like Microsoft Movie Maker good enough for editing video or do you recommend something different?
I am sure there is a lot more to video submissions but I've been wanting to try it for some time and have some ideas I think won't be "same ol".
Thanks in advance for your help.
