Someone tried both and can recommend which of them is best to buy?

Haven't tried the Mavic yet but I've been researching a bit.
The Mavic wins on every single point except MAYBE video quality. I haven't seen enough comparisons yet to fully decide.
The Mavic means you can travel without problems, but if you're just going to put it in your car and use it near your home I suppose the Phantom 4 could be the choice.
Safe to say, the Mavic wins hands down compared to the GoPro Karma. Still fisheye for aerials? What is this, 2002?

Agree. I'm a bit skeptical about the way it manages heavy wind and the need to tap the screen to set the focus though.

The engines may be smaller but there's also much less wind resistance because of the flat design.
For me, a Mavic would mean getting hundreds of shots I would not get at all, since I wouldn't bring a big drone. I'm using the Phantom 3 Pro right now, and while I wish the video quality was better, it's pretty good for HD in most situations with even lighting (morning/evening). The Phantom 4 camera is really no different (except for MORE sharpening in-camera, not desirable).
I would of course like a step UP in video quality, but if the Mavic offers something close to the P3P/P4 the size and portability will most likely make up for it. I guess you can't have it all... I would love to use an Inspire RAW but it's just a complete hassle to bring when you travel (planes, other countries, hikes, etc.).
Being able to put it in your pocket is a pretty big deal. Carrying the P3P along with all other camera equipment up a mountain gets old quickly and means leaving the drone at home...

Yes, you have a point there. I was thinking even to buy DJI Inspire 1 V2. but unfortunately it weighs too much when I'm going to Norway and filming. The limit is 2.5kg otherwise required additional permits and licenses. There will be a Mavic. If i will get alot of sales from my first trip maybee IŽll update to a DJI Inspire 1 V2. =)
