These are great tutorials.  My first experience with a drone was all manual. I sold everything.  Three years later the technology has made it much easier. Might get back into it.

Manual flying skills are still needed. Quadcopter models like the DJI Mavic have no user-selectable Atti mode. In instances when the GPS is not working properly, the quad automatically switches to Atti mode. Problem is that many first time fliers have no previous experience with Atti mode and no manual flying skills so in such situations, they panic and crash. Oh yea it's certainly great having automatic features which make certain tasks so much easier but having manual flying skills are just as important as ever for safety of your aircraft.

Yes, sure. Obviously the operator still needs some manual skills
