What a joke the industry has become.

Anyway, I wish I had started uploading stock footage back in 2010. I had all the equipment, I just didn't know about selling stock footage. :( It would have given me a great boost in the search engines of many of the sites.

Still (I guess) there would be a crash on your sales nowadays plus newcomers with fresh ideas, new equipment whatever changed since then. I do not complain, had a "golden" time on previous job before electronics become "one time use" items.

It is nice to read History of Stock (thanks to MSG) through archives. Useful knowledge, learning old timers, their sayings, predictions and errors. Quite time comsuming but enlighting.
:)

You need a hundred clips online before you'll sell 1.  You'll need several hundred before you sell 1 on a regular basis.  You need THOUSANDS of clips online before you generate any kind of significant revenue.

Hmmm.....I sold three clips when I had about 35 videos online. Ive almost doubled my video portfolio recently but haven't seen any more sales since. And yea I admit that is still a really tiny port. Oh well - I'll keep on submitting and adding to my port over time.

Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon. I just got another video sale. So that's a total of four video sales with less than 100 videos. Though I admit it was many months between the latest sale and the last. And so far, Ive only sold videos through SS. No sales on Pond 5 yet. Hopefully, that will change one day as I add more.
