Title: Tracking Rails - on the cheap
Post by: leaf on January 15, 2010, 02:52
I just saw this cheap and clever solution to create tracking rails for shooting video
http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/2010/01/ivar-loves-dolly.html (http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/2010/01/ivar-loves-dolly.html)

to shoot video with camera movement like this
EOS 7D + DIY dolly / 1st (snowy!) outdoor test (http://vimeo.com/8635818)

but really, he only bought the track (shelving frame) from ikea, there should be a similar solution from another store or it would be easy enough to build yourself.
