FeaturePics (low sales)

We have to give it some time.  For a new site, I think it's doing very well.  Off to a good start.  I'm very happy with what I've made there with only a few sales so far.  Wish there was something we could do to help them grow.  I guess just hang in there and keep uploading .

I have no intention of abandoning FeaturePics, but I was wondering if others were seeing the same thing I was.  I really like their business model and am definitely rooting for them.

Completely agree.  Glad to have a forum to compare success but I don't plan to "jump ship" because it's slow.

Wisent:
i just uploaded my first pics to featurepic en noticed i have to determin the price myself. I look at some of the other pictures to see what the average price was but there's a real big difference 1to15$ and mostly there isn't a very big difference in quality.

Am i missing something and is there a certain method to price your photographs? I would love to charge 15$, but will that get me any sales?

Thanks

Tommy

The other quirky thing about featurepics is their lack of an autosize option (though they are currently thiking/working on it) so if you upload an 8 mp picture it will only sell as a 8 mp photo. Personally i set the price at a comparable rate to what the other agencies are charging. $4-5 for an 8 mp.

Like most my sales have been very slow of late, introduction of IPTC, watermarks on their 300 pixel thumbnails and FTP have persuaded to resume uploading. Though the FTP only seemed to work on the first day since then it "critical error" every time.
