I finally made up my mind this weekend and decided to close my FP account.  I emailed them Monday morning and asked what would be the best way to delete all my images and close the account.
They emailed me back that afternoon and told me that my images had been deleted, my account closed and my earnings, which were well below payout would be deposited in my paypal account.
They emailed me yesterday and said that the earnings had been deposited.  When I check my paypal account, there they were, and had actually been deposited the day the account was closed.
Thank you FP.  I had not expected to see the earnings from there.

FP management has always been helpful and responsive.  Pity your sales experince hasn't been positive there.

I too just closed off Featurepics.  They sent me an e-mail within 2 hours saying the exact thing.  All class over at FP.  Too bad they couldn't make it to a top seller for anyone.

This is one of the reasons I stay. They've alway been straight up and prompt. one sale per month equals 6 months of LO AND Crestock combined..PLUS no silly sideshows or numb-nut judges...much more professional feel.

So because they haven't made it into the top 5 within 2 years, they are dead meat? If that is the criteria of success, most commercial enterprises should close their doors sooner rather than later.

Or maybe I'm just old fashioned   ::)

Its a waste of time to upload to sites that don't perform.

Unfortunately, FP is one of them despite being a classy website with classy admins.  They don't give you the run-around or string you along.

And yes, two years of inactivity means its time to focus elsewhere. Instead of submitting to a billion sites, why not use that time to make more photos and more money with the proven ones.

Given what I'm saying, I haven't even started with Snapvillage yet simply because they don't have FTP and no one is saying Snapvillage is awesome
