Who . do they think they're trying to be now?

I had maybe 1 rejection in 2400 uploads.  I had two last week and another two the batch before that.   I'm hearing rumors that they're starting to "limit" everything.  Limiting illustrations to under $10 (don't we set our own prices anymore?!)  Limiting fractals, limit this, limit that.

Exactly who bought FeaturePics that we haven't heard about yet because this is crap coming from them.

So we no longer choose what to sell and we no longer choose how much we can sell it for?  Nice "changes" coming.

I don't even remember my login information there haha... Does we really can't set our prices anymore?

Correction in red.

I don't think anyone bought FP.  I can't say about vectors, but I am able to set my photo's prices as I wish.

The change that occured there is the volume sales for 800x600 images.
http://www.microstockgroup.com/featurepics-com/site-changes/

I had one such sale today.  I wished more people took part of the discussions, as they are very receptive to suggestions.  I, for one, suggested that the price of the packages should be a bit higher (10 images per US$12).  In the end they have set it to 10 images per US$10. Again, that's for S images only.

These packages are:
1. "80 cents per image", maximum image size is 800px, minimum images in a package is 15
2. "$1 per image", maximum image size is 1000px, minimum images in a package is 12

The one I sold today was 800x600 and costed US$1, so I am not sure how the sizes work in the 2nd package

Images priced above US$15 are out of the volume packages.

Regards,
Adelaide

PS: another changes was that, no matter how you price your images, the S size will always cost at least US$1.50.

Images priced above US$15 are out of the volume packages.

But you can't set "any" file above $15 and they've started rejecting photos?  It's a bigger change than just the subs.

mantonino,

I now think you are talking about changing prices in existing images, is it so?  This had been disabled while they were doing some indexing, I would expect it to be done by now, but I saw it isn't enabled again.

Elena said she can manually change them for you.

What's the rejection message for the files?  I mean, did it say something like "We won't accept anymore over $15?".  While we had our first couple rejections there in the last batch, they gave a valid reason that I'm cool with.  Given that we're finally seeing sales there, I'm cool with them focusing their collection to keep the buyers interested and searching.

"we don't accept all "sunsets" images. The category is too big compare to other categories. Sorry."
"we are limiting the "sunsets" category. sorry."

considering there were 5 others in the batch that were primarily sunset that were taken... it's all good.

Spectre,

You can set your prices freely when you upload.  As I said, I recently uploaded images at US$80, and they were approved with that price.

I guess that what mantonino said was about editing image prices, images that are already on sale.  I have just checked it can be done in the bulk editor, though not immediately in effect.  To speed the process, it is better to request the site management.

Adelaide
