According to a report from Insider, Adobe employees are expressing concern that moving forward with AI technologies in the art space will cause companies to downsize graphic design departments, and one senior designer at the company says that is already happening.

The employee cites a billboard and advertising business they are aware of already made the move to reduce the size of such a team because of how effective Firefly’s integration into Photoshop has become — and that is still in beta.

The situation has gotten to the point that some Adobe employees are experiencing an “existential crisis” and are calling it “depressing” in an internal Slack channel seen by Insider.

But yeah, I'm sure the people who run multi-billion dollar corporations don't care so much for such pesky little things like employees.

Many companies in various sectors are doing layoffs and Adobe will also join the same very soon.

Though there is a great demand of AI developers. But this sector is entirely new to many people.
People have many responsibilities and it is not easy for person to reset and restart new career.

It takes years of experience to be perfect. And when you become perfect, the requirement is over.

Adobe, Meta, Google, X and tons more are worrying equally.

It's not just this area. I sent an email to the dog food supplier saying they'd taken the money and could they let me know when they're gonna send it because normally its the day after. The email shows in sent. But today ... the A.I. has read the contents of my email and thought to itself hey this is important the dog needs food so it has sent me an email entitled "Note To Self" with the details of the email ... so I don't forget 😳

I mean wtaf.

I lol'ed. Almost sounds like a PR-stunt from Adobe to make people think Firefly is amazing. Because Firefly is (however fun to use) far from amazing, let alone useful in advertising at this point.

I don't think Adobe accept Firefly generated images. There is a logo on the images. And the images are just TERRIBLE and useless ..!
