Very interesting to see these, especially right after yet another batch 13 of 15 rejected...

From time to time there are "funny" members at fotolia who think it would be a "great idea" to buy their own images via a second account.

I guess in two or three days this account is no more active.

This is funny and we are all laughing at how bad that image is, but I am losing faith in Fotolia with every stupid move they make.

I never get any images past Q/C, so before long it won't even matter as a stock site to me anymore.

The depressing part is that it was one of my favorites just a few months ago.

Does anyone else have these same sad feelings like Fotolia is simply shooting themselves in the foot with those of us who provide their content?

I'm going to nominate that first one for the Infinite collection.

I don't find their QC that hard, they reject more than some sites but that might not be a bad thing.

Yep, you are very right and I readily agree that setting the bar high is a good thing.  I want to be selling my images on sites that are hard to get into.

On the other hand, it starts to seem strange when the EXACT same images are accepted and even selling on all of the other sites.

Stories like that of the OP - with admittedly bad images being accepted while others are wondering why their good images are being rejected simply makes you wonder . . .

OMG! Not only I wonder how it got accepted, but even more interesting how it was sold 5 times! Or was it the author himself/friend?

Keywords? grouping illumination kidnap star town tree Just as bad as the date stamp issue. There is a tree, but the rest I'd question.

When I got rejections from She-Atilla for "these don't sell well" and then pure crap like this gets online and gets 7 downloads, Ukraine artist, why am I suspicious, then it's a complete farce.

This just shows that buyers will buy anything, as long as it is on first page, or in this case "best sales". pft.

You can have best image that is on page 78, and never sell it, and you can have pure crap of image on 1st page and sell it 100 times.

That tells us database SIZE of stock agencies is totaly irelevant. There is no difference in having 3 or 8 million images, when buyers dont search more than few first pages.

I don't believe at theory that any review process has any consistency in any agency. Since I realized that, I really don't get upset when my images are rejected. There is a crap on every agency. I could find and post here amazingly crappy images from the most respectable sites, while some very good images got rejected.

Never the less it makes me gnash, i had just 5 halloween images rejected for aesthetic reasons and see that crap above accepted and sell... !!!
