I think it makes sense for all of us to change the extended license price from 30 credits to 100 credits.  Fotolia will be happy too.

I had set at 100.  Never ever got any ELs.  Cut them in half to  50 last year.  Still never ever get ELs at FT.   Does anyone get them there on a regular basis? ?

I wouldn't call a 1-2/ month "regular" but:

I maximised all my ELs to 100 and I already had two ELs this month. And I have a tiny 350+ files port!

This is more or less in line with the "regular" SS ELs, considering the SS/FT revenue ratio.

Since 2010 I've had a whopping 5 EL's at FT.  Currently I make $25 per EL, in 2010 I made $31.

FT has been between 6-8% of my earnings, but with Adobe it has been between 5.8 and 15%

I continue to be amazed when someone says FT is their #1 earner.

I've set them at 100 on the basis that I suspect the cost of the image will be a low percentage of their budget. I so rarely get any I haven't bothered to update my old pics. I've had the odd EL but none for 100.

Think about this! in the rights managed industry (RM) at GI or whatever traditional agency. Buyers go there and buy for very specific reasons and most of the time they are prepared to pay.
Yet! believe it or not but sales above $. 200-300 gross, are not all that common anymore ( used to be thousands of dollars many years back).

Overpricing yourself isn't going to help, might insted lose sales. Pricing is a very intricate and psychological factor.

I've had 5 EL's this year. Two for 30 credits. After Adobe tookover, my rank jumped to silver and I was able to set my price for ELs to 100 credits. I've done that for all my images and had 3 ELs for 100 since then.

Thanks for replies.  Guess my pictures just don't attract ELs on Fotolia for some reason.  Tho I get them on SS and IS several a month.
