Title: 1099
Post by: chrisbradshaw on February 01, 2021, 11:22
I opted in for electronic 1099s in early January.  It said they would be available after 1/31 but I can't see anyway to obtain them using the link https://236230.invoiceinfo.com/get1099.html.  It just keep opting me in, but I'm not able to view my 1099.  Have anyone been able to retrieve their 1099 electronically?

I have received nothing from them nor have I been able to locate tax forms on my dashboard.

Nope. It does say Opt in before January 31st, I'm not sure it says, will be released. However US tax law has something about mailing by January 31st. I don't know what that means for eMailing?

Thanks for the reminder and the easy way to find the link so I don't have to go digging through emails.

Because the opt-in for electronic 1099 would not accept my 4-digit Fotolia contributor ID (and the tax site support never responded to 2 requests) I ended up with a paper 1099 in the mail - couple of weeks ago I think.

I guess the tax site's bumbling ended up helping in the end, but I still would prefer to have a PDF of my tax information in the future, so it would be good to get this system working more smoothly.

It looks like everything is up and running properly now. You should be able to access your 1099 electronically if you registered in time. It's important to note that if you have multiple accounts with the same SSN associated (such as those with a Premium collection account and a Standard collection account), the 1099 you receive electronically is a combined total of all accounts.

Please let me know if you are still having trouble accessing the form.

Thanks,

Mat

Works just fine, now.  Thanks for the quick attention to this, Matt.

Ditto to the thanks Mat - printed, filed, just a few more and I can head to the accountant.

The site remembers my SSN and Adobe account, I only have to type in the first number. (unless my browser remembers?) Anyway, easy.

Prints two pages from the site, if anyone is saving paper, do two sided or print just page 1 from your PDF viewer.

Rather than start a new thread...

I used the link above to try to opt in for 2021 and it keeps saying there is no Vendor for my SSN & Account # - they are definitely correct. Any thoughts? Just wait for it in the mail? Seems like others had this problem last year too. Any fixes expected?

My Adobe Account # is 9-digits. Copied and pasted from my Contributor ID on my Contributor Tab. Not sure if when I initially signed up with Fotolia I had a shorter/different account # - could that be the issue? I assume the current Contributor ID is the correct one to use.

I logged in today with the member id shown on my account (was originally with Fotolia too). My 2021 1099 was already there and I never received any sort of notification

Would the electronic 1099 be on the "contributor account" -> "Tax Information page" ?

Where is There? I looked and don't see it anywhere in my contributor account info? Thanks

Nothing has changed since last year. My valid 4-digit contributor number still isn't OK with the tax form page (I used the link at the beginning of this thread) and it says "Valid vendor number contains 5-10 numerics".

Then it dawned on my to try adding a zero at the beginning of the number and it worked!! I now have a PDF as well as the paper that arrived a few days ago in the mail.

I guess I should save the link from this thread as I can't see anything in my contributor profile that shows me where to go...

The link is in the help section, not in your contributor profile:

Thanks for sharing your experience Jo Ann. It sounds like the issue you described is due to you being one of the earliest contributors at Fotolia. I am glad to know the workaround you discovered in case we have others experiencing the same.

I have confirmed with our tax team that 1099 forms have already been mailed out to contributors who had not previously opted in to the electronic forms.

For those of you that did opt in, you can download the 2021 1099 forms here: https://236230.invoiceinfo.com/get1099.html. As a reminder, your vendor number is your Adobe Stock account number. If you don't know it, you can find it in the Contributor Account section of the portal at the very bottom under "member ID".

If you run into any issues, please send us an email via the contact us link found at the bottom of the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal and we will help get you sorted out asap.

Thank you,

Mat Hayward

Does everyone else’s 1099s still say Fotolia, or is that just me? No complaints, just amusing.

I got my 1099 for Adobe Stock; my problem is that they never actually paid me! Why should I pay taxes on my meager earnings if I haven't even been paid by them yet? -- I have small ports at a number of places & don't always meet the payment threshold, even over a year :-\ If they are sending a 1099, they should pay out whatever is there at the end of the year! (It can be all electronic at this point, so it's not like it costs them $ to do so.)

(& yes, mine says Fotolia also.)

If you do your accounting by "cash" instead of "accrual", don't worry about reporting it until you actually get it.
