I was surfing on my smartphone when i     received 13 sale notifications by email.
All are subs, no particular subject, old and recent stuff , crap and best sellers...

Any idea of what happened ?

Nice! Hopefully they've had delays with sales reporting and they all come at once now... I haven't seen much action lately, haha.

When will people learn, sales reporting is not real time, it's when the system processes them. They could be 3 days old and just got counted. Took 2 mn to report 13 dl doesn't mean they were all bought in 2 mn. Whats a mn?

Peole has a name.

For FT, in each sale notification there's is a field named "Date d'achat"(in french), unless the translation is not correct, it means for me "Purchase date".
These picture were purchased between 2016-05-19 21:37:19 and 2016-05-19 21:39:57

Plus, it's the first time it happened. I have regular sales on FT.
Please allow me to be surprised, i thought FT was different from iS.

Your right. FT computers are tuned in to your account and as soon as you have a sale, they stop everything else and process your sale with the real time, down to the second. What was I thinking that servers and computers that circle the world, wouldn't all be synced to the second and instantly report your personal sales. I'm sorry for doubting that agencies watch our souls and accounts with priority over all other accounting and business matters. We are the center of the stock photo universe.

Congratulations Thomas! Whether they came all at once or Fotolia's server just ran them that way, good for you. It's more sales in one day than I've had!

Am I the only one who is feeling like the douchebag quotient around here is unusually high lately?

Yes, the truth is out there and they are hiding the real customers at area 51 in Nevada, that's why FT reports live sales in France but the rest of the world we have to wait for processing. Unless you honestly believe and then the download  faerie will leave a quarter under your pillow the instant your file is selected for download.

The rest of us are willing to wiat and see money when it gets around to indexing.

You shouldn't call yourself names like that. Are you feeling unhappy and defeated?

I don't have access to their coding and IT systems so am not as expert as some people seem to think they are. I do know they have a field giving the download time. I don't see why they would have to prioritise anything if this is recorded at point of sale. Don't think anyone is saying they instantly transfer the credits.

All I know is...that one time, in band camp, I needed one of my files but couldn't find it on my computer...so I asked a friend to download it for me from fotolia...and I got a sale email on the spot.

Why?

The time you receive the email advising of a sale is often the same time that is recorded on the sale, Purchase Date (see below). However, this is not always the case and the time you are notified and the account updated, does not always match the time on the "Purchase Date". I've seen it when they have been several hours difference.

I'd imagine that it will not just be the time taken to process the sale but also, on occasions, verifying it...... i.e. the money, card or account is not fraudulent for suspicious transactions.

Anyway, I'd imagine it's as close to real time as they can possibly do it but it isn't guaranteed that your account will be updated "Instantly".... especially when you take into account how many millions of images are being sold at any one point in time.

Example of details on sale notification email.
-----------
File Name: xxxxxxxxxxxx
Purchase Date: 2016-05-24 18:53:26
Purchase License: M
Commission: 1.32
