Hi,
You said between Jan 1 and Dec 31, but now is just Match, and I get code? Thank you, but...?

is there any way to see total points (images + video x 8 ) downloads?

because if we select "This year" it count all video downloads as 1 not 8.

btw. it will be much harder to get All Apps than it was before. Only one year for 5000 downloads...

So 625 video downloads?  :o  Has anyone here been able to do that, ever?

The total downloads can be a combination of asset types. 100 video downloads plus 4,200 photos for example would be the same as 5,000 total downloads and qualify for the all apps plan.

The bonus code you recently received is most likely from your efforts in 2019. The bonus program I am announcing today is for 2020.

Thanks for the bonus program opportunity this year.

However, I already know that I won't be eligible for the All Apps plan, because there's no way I will hit that magic 5000+ download number by the end of the year...Especially when the corona crisis is hitting the economy hard.

Edit: not sure if this means I should hit 5000 new downloads in 1 year, or I should hit the 5000 number of All Time downloads?

By now, you should have received an email about the 2020 bonus program for Adobe Stock artists. We are switching the program up this year.

Instead of the number of uploads being the qualifier, it's going to be the number of downloads. Contributors with more than 150 downloads between Jan 1 and Dec 31, 2020 will receive a bonus code for their chose of Creative Cloud Photography plan or a single app which yes, one of those apps to choose from is Illustrator if you are a vector artist or Premiere if you are a video producer.

For those of you that have 5,000 or more downloads this year we'll be providing you with a code for the all-apps Creative Cloud. Still images count as 1 download, video licenses count as 8 downloads by the way.

You can see all the details here for additional information: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

Let me know if you have any questions,

Mat Hayward

Thanks, Mat! This is great news!

Since 1 video DL counts as 8 DLs, maybe it's time to talk to the technical team and ask them to create a filter for video DLs and earnings. There is no way to segregate video DLs and earnings from the totals.

Hello Mat. Does the contributor who has over 5000 sales ''need'' Creative Cloud full membership? I think this is not good. Maybe it can be change as there may be 1 application for 150 downloads and other 1 application for the other 150 downloads(...)
5000 is too much. means 13-14 downloads per day.

Mat, one more question: it's likely that I will hit 5,000+ DLs for 2020 around July-August. I only have the Photography plan. Will I be able to upgrade to the full package earlier?

It doesn't look like it.

"Bonuses2 will be determined in January 2021, and codes issued in February 2021."

I guess it will be an automated response / delivery system for the codes etc that will happen in the above time frame.

It's a great question but no, the codes will be distributed in February, 2021 for all qualified artists.

Too bad.
I like Davinci Resolve but I think that there was a chance to be hooked by Premiere Pro and After Effects, before I learn to love Davinci too much!  ;)

Anyway, the initiative is really appreciated!
Thanks again!

Thanks Mat... great to see this become a regular thing.

Liking the new, "Full package" plan, seems a fair achievable scale.... the more you put in the more you get out. Also, illustrators will now be able to get both packages... Illustrator on it's own or via the full package. Always seemed harsh for those guys in the past.

So my question is  this.
For the last two years I have qualified for the Bonus (thank you Adobe)
My plan when I was paying for it ran from Oct to Oct.
According to my Adobe account page I will be charged for a year on Oct 29.
I already have qualified for a new code for the photography plan under the new guidelines -  but If I don't get a new code until Feb will I have to pay for my plan between Oct and Feb when I get a new code?

Thanks

I only submit videos footage and my first thought is thats a really high number, especially compared to the bonus programs of the past couple years.

I have a portfolio of 9000+ videos and Ive always though that I have a wide variety of high quality videos, but Ive never had 625 sales in a year.

It also doesnt help that my sales have been going down pretty significantly since last October.

Yes, there will likely be a gap for many that qualified in 2019 between the time the 2019 bonus subscription ends and the 2020 codes are issued. This is part of the reason for an earlier announcement this year so you can plan accordingly.

Thank you,

Mat

To clarify, if you choose the Creative Cloud Photography plan you would get Photoshop and both versions of Lightroom in addition to all the other bells and whistles included in this subscription.

That being said, yes you are correct.

Mat, did anything ever come of the possibility of Adobe allowing the order of keywords in LR (both versions) to be set manually rather than alphabetically. I did like using LR on the iPad etc but ended up sticking with C1 because I could rank keywords for Adobe Stock. Cheers.

Out of curiosity - does anyone mind sharing what their average yearly number of downloads are? Based on most of the comments, Is 5000 an easy goal for most?

Last year I had 45 video downloads... so that puts me at 360 downloads with the x8 for videos. Should make the 150 without too much trouble, but definitely not the 5000.

This month I've had 1319 so far... still a day to go though with 3100 this year so far. Last year total was 10k.

Edit. I wouldn't say it's an easy goal though. You have to work hard to get and stay there.

I upload 90% videos and 10% images, but i'm in the same boat...after a bit of math i think that
i'll have about 4500 points at the end of the year. At this point i think that i'll invest more time on
affinity suite for vector and raster (or other alternatives) and i'll go with the bonus for After Effects.
'Thanks' to lockdown i have time to learn Bmd Fusion...my plan-B :)
I know that 60/month are nothing if you are in the business, but MS is a different beast...earnings
are like a rollercoaster, so i think that it's a wise choice to invest time on alternatives.
Said that, thanks Mat and thanks to Adobe for the offer!

If you have a Mac, try Motion 5... it's about $50 and very good alternative to After Effects.

5000 is a good level to set it to I think. Most people who do this full time should be able to get around that. It would be very hard for anyone doing this a as a part time gig, but it's a big reward so that's fine.

The 150 target is nice and generous.

Wow, a 1 year plan of Adobe Illustrator CC? That one worth about USD300. And I only need to have 150 downloads in the whole year? That's pretty achievable, right? Have I interpret the whole thing wrongly?

Yep... I mean 625 video downloads in a year, that's about $20K in earnings. I'm guessing 5000 photo downloads is a lot less.

Hi!

First of all: thanks for listening and taking our opinions into consideration! It's a great change that this time we will be able to choose our preferred software - vector artists can choose Illustrator, for example, yay!  :D

Counting videos as 8x regular downloads and basing the bonus more on downloads rather than uploads is also nice. I personally find that this program is more well-thought-out and for the first time is also including me (never used the bonus before, because Photoshop isn't useful for me at all, but this year I already qualify easily for Illustrator and with some hard work and luck, who knows, maybe even for all-aps).

It's huge difference..

I also only upload video (full time job) and got to say that 625 downloads is an impossible (or extremely unrealistic) target. Maybe film factories can easily do it but one man bands is near impossible. Now I've got to figure out if I'd prefer After Effects or Premiere?

Exactly. The first year we needed $500 in video downloads, now it's the equivalent of about $18k in video sales...That's hard if not impossible to achieve, especially considering the impact of the corona outbreak on stock sales.

I crossed the 5,000 mark yesterday. Any idea when I'll get the code?

Thanks

Codes for the 2020 bonus program will be distributed in February, 2021. If you have a gap between when your last subscription expired and the distribution of the new code, you will need to pay for the months in between.

Kind regards,

Mat Hayward

For people shooting a mix of photos and vidoes how do i find these seperately so i can use the weighted sum to get my download count?

5000 downloads is steep, guess I've got my work cut out

5,000 is definitely an achievable goal but will take effort for sure. Unfortunately, there is no way to filter by asset type in the statistics at this time.

Hi Everyone,

A friendly reminder in case you have met the download requirement to qualify for the bonus program using old content, but you haven't submitted any new content in 2020, you will not be receiving a bonus code.

The bonus is only available for "active" contributors. To be considered active, you must have uploaded (and had approved) at least two files in 2020. You've got about a month left to make it happen so get busy!

In case you missed the link with details on the bonus program before, here you go: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

Cheers!

Two files you said? Oh well, I guess I'll need to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty again...

Hi Mat

I don't suppose you know what amount of cloud storage you get on the full package when you have 5000+ downloads. Is it 1TB?

I've been playing around with a combination of LR Cloud + LR classic as a replacement for C1 Pro but wondered how much space you get and whether it's possible to upgrade cloud storage.

The standard photography one I'm using (Adobe contributor bonus from 18 months ago) is 20gb, which is normal, but doesn't allow or provide the option to upgrade storage. Just wondered what the new ones will give and whether they're upgradable.

Just trying to plan ahead for the new year... cheers.

Hi Mat, could the 5,000 amount be lowered due to the Covid crisis. Would be a nice parting 2020 gift for all us creators?

I don't know the answer to this question off the top of my head but I'll look into it and let you know. You are right, the Creative Cloud Photography plan includes 20GB of storage.

The 5,000 download requirement is for the All Apps plan. You only need 150 downloads or more in 2020 to receive the bonus code for a single app of your choice, or the Creative Cloud Photography plan (assuming you are an active contributor).

Happy Holidays!

Thanks Mat... Also, if you could ask why no option to upgrade space is showing for the package... is it something to do with the fact it's a free contributor bonus package. If there are bigger packages than the 1tb options etc, I don't mind paying extra to move it up a notch. The info I've seen suggests you should be able to buy extra cloud space from your package but that option isn';t available to me. Cheers.

I confirmed the storage that is included with the All Apps Creative Cloud bonus plan is 100GB.

Hi Mat,

Since my previous bonus program expired in October 2020 I was forced to make an annual subscription with Adobe for the Creative Cloud apps until I get the new free bonus program from Adobe Stock in February 2021, my question is how can I switch in February from the paid one to the free one without paying the fee for cancelling my current paid subscription, as I understand I have to pay half of the amount for the left months.

Thank you!

The same happened to me previously, and when I applied the code for 12 months free, the plan date was simply extended for a year, so remaining payments were deferred for 12 months.
