Good question, but no. Downloads in the Free collection do not count toward your statistics.

That would be my suggestion for improvement.  Of course, free DLs should not count towards free subscription, but it would be helpful to know the stats.   I.e  I nominated photo last yr, got 5 credits,  and now I see that photo had 10 free DLs over last 12 months.  So maybe I would not re-nominate same photo this time around estimating it has potential to earn more as "not free".  On the other side,  photo with 0-5 DLs in free collection is probably good candidate for re-nomination.

you're assuming that 10 free DL would have translated to 10 paid DL

Is it for photos only?or also for illustration and vector?

Where do you see that stats that shows the number of free downloads an asset has gotten?

This is still the same Jo Ann. If a file was a top seller in the past 12 months it would not be eligible for nomination. In my account, I have some files eligible with hundreds of downloads in the lifetime of the image, but only a couple in the past year. The files that are eligible for nomination were determined last week, so it's likely there will be a few odd exceptions in which an image went on a download spree the past week and is still available for nomination. Please know that in those rare cases, when the nomination process is complete and the final selections are being made, those images will not be accepted. It's not in any of our best interest to pull content from the paid collection if it is trending towards consistent sales.

If you have a file or files, Jo Ann that seem to not align with what I just wrote, please send me an email with the specific file numbers and I'll look up their sales history to check them out.

several of my eligable files were only uploaded this year (2022), so they weren�t even online for 12 months... I don�t remember that being the case last year. So, did the rules (4 or less sales withing the last 12 months) change after all?

No changes in the selection process that I am aware of. Do those new files have a large number of downloads?

No, Mat, you misunderstood, or maybe I worded it poorly, sorry: I meant that I have several hundred images up for selection that only had one download or no download at all. And last year no imges with zero downloads were nominated,  but are nominated now, so something has changed in the nomination process, at least for me.

Oh, got it. I don't know what the exact criteria is to qualify other than they cannot be assets with good sales in the past 12 months. It sounds like your eligible files meet that criteria.

I think it's strange to that photos without any downloads are being nominated. How is Adobe deciding that a photo without any download is nominable?
Did we miss a sale or does Adobe see lots of views (which we don't know of) that would make the photo interesting for their free collection?
