Thanks Mat for the info :-)

Nice to see that the requirements for the bonus program have only increased very slightly.

This sounds like good news - but I'm puzzled about the need to check during the week to learn if we qualified. Is there something other than total downloads and being active (20+ accepted assets in 2023)? Unless the US is no longer included in the acceptable countries, I think I'm good :)

Good point Jo Ann. Should've written to check back in the week to redeem your code if you qualified.

have 6163 downloads.

I missed it. Even with 10 video sales, that adds another 20 points - 6183, missed the cc suite by 17 sales.

Increased my sales by several hundred %. For less than 4000 files I ithought this was a good result.

For 2024 there will probably be another increase.

:(

Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to inform you that we have updated the learn and support page with details on the 2023 bonus program for Adobe Stock contributors. You can view the information here: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

Be sure to check your Adobe Stock contributor portal this coming week to learn if you qualified!

Stay creative,

Mat Hayward

When Adobe introduced this program, at that time 1 video download counted as 8 regular downloads. I know that videos sales are increased later, but now counting as 3 is very less, at least you need to count 1 video download ad 5 regular downloads.

Also the size of the overall collection keeps growing which makes it harder every year because there is a lot more competition.

And they increased 5000 to 6000 and now 6200 downloads for creative cloud all apps plan, at they same time they decreased 1 video download= 8 regular downloads to 1 video download = 3 regular downloads.

Has Adobe considered adding a bonus resulting from winning the discord competitions?

We get 25 dollars (now 50), how about adding that as one dollar - one bonus point?

Obviously it would solve my personal problem of the missing 17 points :) , but it could also get more people interested in the challenges and bring more eyeballs to the discord.

Thank you Mat,

As I got all the creative apps I have a question:

I already have a subscription for photoshop and lightroom on the same account, will this payment stop automatically or do I have to cancel this subscription?

"Each video download counts as 3 regular downloads."

Does this also apply to the lifetime downloads counter on the dashboard which determines the minimum royalty amounts?

Okay, my current Photography plan expires October 2024. I just redeemed my new code (photography plan). Instead of extending my current plan, it left my current
plan intact (expiring on 10/24) and added a 2nd plan which expires 2/25. This is not what I wanted! I wanted to just extend out my current plan.

How do I fix this?

Thanks (I do appreciate the bonus btw)

I contacted support and they seem to be taking care of this.
The lesson learned is that apparently when you use a code, the plan stars immediately, even if you already have an active plan.

Thank you Mat,

As I got all the creative apps I have a question:

I already have a subscription for photoshop and lightroom on the same account, will this payment stop automatically or do I have to cancel this subscription?

This question has been asked in a couple of different ways here and the answer applies to all. If the subscription you currently have is EXACTLY the same as the new subscription provided with the bonus code, then you can redeem the bonus code and the expiration date will simply extend by 1 year.

If however, the subscription you have is different in any way (such as the amount of cloud storage included) then redeeming the bonus code will open a new subscription running in parallel with the old one. You need to cancel the old subscription or you will continue to pay for it.

As many of you have discovered, the codes are applied to the contributor portal for those who have qualified. Thank you to everyone for your active contribution and helping to make Adobe Stock what it is. We are truly grateful to you for your efforts and hope you enjoy the year of Creative Cloud!

As always, stay creative!

Mat,

Based on my experience, it can be tricky. I thought my current plan was the "generic photography plan". However, I did run into the parallel subscription issue. I think what may have happened is that the "generic photography plan" of a year ago is not exactly the same as the "generic photography plan" of today....so I ended up with a parallel subscription.

OK, thanks for the report. I'll look into this and share what I find out. It's possible there is a change I'm not aware of. Can anyone else confirm they redeemed a code for EXACTLY the same plan but instead of extending the expiration, a different subscription opened in addition to the existing sub?

Thanks again,

Mat

I am seeing more reports of new subscriptions being added instead of extending existing subs. Since it's a holiday in the US, many folks are off today. If you haven't already redeemed your code, and you have an active subscription. I recommened holding off until I can confirm whether there is an issue or not.

Thanks for your patience,

I wish I had seen this post before I redeemed the code.
Hopefully it will soon be sortet out, also for those of us who now have two subscriptions.

But apart from that, it's great to get the bonus again  :)

I have just been in contact with Adobe support about the double plans.

The solution in my case ended up with canceling my paid plan, and keeping the redemption plan, which then got some extra days added for the days I lost on the paid plan.

Hello Mat,

how long will take until the codes expire, if they are not redeemed?

The code I currently use runs until October 1 this year. If it looks like extending the period is problematic, I would just keep the new code until then and only use it, when the old one runs out.

I'm not Mat, so can only speak from my own experience: two years ago or so I redeemed my code almost a year after I got it, because I had a paid plan running - there was no issue with that.

I have the same problem with the double plan - both are called "Foto Abo (20GB)" here in Germany
-> one has 21 items
-> other hast 29 items

Tried to reach the support via phone and chatbot (btw. the chatbot in german is not working at all)
-> on phone the automatic voice said after about 1min of talking and asking: "There is a problem with the phone lines - beep beep beep"
(Btw. could not find any support email adress on the support center page in german)

I guess I will have to use the same solution as Jens - cancel the paid plan before the next payment and use the other plan, that should work hopefully.

I had the same number of items on both, but they could of course still be diffferent.

Support in danish was also off-line, but I chose the english.
After a few initial questions and answers with the bot, I got connected to a human supporter.
And it was this supporter that did the work with canceling the paid plan and extending the redeemed plan with the lost number of days.

Don't cancel your paid plan yourself. You risk having to pay for the remaining time of the year plan.

BTW, for the new plan there is a button for entering a new code next year  :)

I also have the same problem now, two subscriptions.
This is the answer that I received it from the Adobe support:

I would like to inform you that would not be possible. The activation code you received is for a different Photography plan which will expire in one year

While the plan you had active is to paid monthly was a monthly plan hence extension is not possible that is why  a new plan was added

So my advice is to activate the code on the last day of your current subscription.

Just to add my experience:
Yesterday I did the mistake as others, to activate the bonus code without waiting the end of the pay plan. In my case it was a really different plan.
The customer care takes around 30 seconds to solve the double plan and closed the payed one without any additional payment.
Probably the fastest and simplest customer care I met in my life :-) Thanks Adobe and @Mat please report a very very good job from your department! :)

Because no body answer on this, ask again :/

"When I want to renew the code I get this message :This code is from a country or region that does not match your Adobe ID.
Last year everything went well."

What we to do with this problem? On Adobe support I do not get any valid answer :(

For completeness:
I had the same problem yesterday with the "double" plan.
(See post somewhere above)

Today the german telephone support was available and they removed my payed plan and added the time difference to my new "code-plan" - it took a while but worked very well.

I made it! Not sure if I miscalculated, or the challenge dollars were added as bonus, I am really grateful to have the full CC suite to learn and experiment with.

Downloaded illustrator to my ipad, I hope I can learn how to make illustrations myself without ai this year.

Perhaps even simple vectors.

Thank you very much Adobe!

I had the same problem. After some time chatting with Adobe support, the first person I was chatting with ended the chat (I assume accidentally). I started a new chat with someone else and was eventually told that she would have to cancel the new plan that was created by the bonus code and that I would receive an email in 5-7 days containing a new code that I would need to enter in the system. She said that the new code would extend my existing plan.

Sounds like some people had a better, quicker resolution and were able to get the plan extended during the chat.  Guess it depends on which support person you get.

If we have more than double the number of required downloads, can we get all apps for two years?
 ;D
Joking...
Thanks Mat, this is a nice gesture!

The support person I spoke with gave me a similar solution (cancel secondary plan and a new code in about a week). However when I (hopefully) get my new code I'm gonna hold onto it until I near the expiration date for my current plan. Don't want to have to go through that again!...also I don't recall my support person saying that the new code would not create the overlap/2nd plan problem.

Should have read your comment before...

I now have two similar plans as well, the code did not extend the existing plan.

So now I will have to get in contact with the support team as well....

It worked all the recent years, whats wrong with the codes this time....

And where do I find a contact person? All I c an find is that stupid virtual roboter that has no answers...

Edit: It took some time to get rid off that chatbot (by the way- I never met a single chatbot which was of any helpful use- they all seem to be crap), Anyway- the new account was deleted and I will get an new code soon they promised. Which I will use in august, when my prepaid plan ends.

The "virtual robot" should eventually give up and ask you for a phone number for a support person to call you. At least that's what happened in my case I think.

Through Adobe Virtual Assistant I was able to connect with a real person and I was able to cancel another Photography plan

For what it's worth:

I had "Photography Plan", billed monthly.   After redeeming contributor code, both plans were showing as active in my Profile;   first with redeemed code with 2025 expiration,  second with next monthly billing March 5th '24.   Both appeared identical in terms of features.

I went and cancelled monthly billing plan, it is now showing as invalid after March 5th. (You are offered 2 months free not to cancel btw).   Only unknown at this point is if Photoshop will get confused after March 5th.

So, like many here, I got the error "This code is from a country or region that does not match your Adobe ID.".

The process is normally to contact Adobe's Customer Support, which I did via chat.

When the guys so it's a contributor redemption code, they transferred me to another agent, supposedly to help me.

I've been waiting on the chat for two hours now.

Judging by the number of messages I could find here, on contributors groups on Facebook, and on Adobe's forum, it seems it's a widespread issue.

Maybe Mat could give us more details on what . is happening?

The main issue is that, independently from the availability, it was working before.

So, maybe Mat would care to elaborate why they are suddenly kicking contributors out of the programme?

Interesting that russia is missing from the list, instead of having all options marked as unavailable!

But russians don't need such decadent Western technologies, so it doesn't matter, anyway.  ;)

An interesting behaviour today running Photoshop 1st time after cancelling monthly plan.  PS greeted me "Welcome to Photoshop" and offered tour.  It means that in the background it switched to Contributor Promo, even if monthly plan was still active till March 5, and thought I was new user.

I honestly think this is a gift.  12 months x 14.95 USD = you do the math.  There will always be critics about anything in this world, and even if there is business case about promoting company software, to me it is also gesture of contributor respect, something I don't see at other agencies.   One can argue "you don't have to use Photoshop", but once you try and get used to it, it is really hard to go back to anything else that might or might not be free.

The problem is that we didn't face the issue in the past years, how come? Why don't you reply to that part I already mentioned?

And don't you think this is pretty disgraceful to kick contributors this way?

Seriously, AS is pretty shameful, here... Should I consider to find an illegal copy? Up until now, I was refraining from doing it, but since you are willing to treat us different ways based on the country we are living, I'm not sure I have any more consideration for this...

Mat, will the double plan-issue be resolved or is getting two plans and cancelling one the permanent solution here? Just asking to know whether I should wait with redeeming the code.

Im qualified but the code is I guess the one from last year, I have the blue bar but it's talking about the doanload in 2022 ...

EDIT : I finally exchanged the code and now the bonus plan seems to be validated, as the blue bar appear all the time I was thinking it was the one of last year.
Thank you !!

Only Adobe can answer why your account was deactivated.

I also had such an account block once - the best thing to do is to contact Adobe's Contributor Support (as the page you actually see when you login should state), as far as I remember the email is [email protected]

In my case, the reason for the block was the use of an artist name in my search terms for some images that I must have missed, which was a violation of the submission guidelines.

I seem to have worded my question poorly, as this wasn't what I was asking.

I would like to know whether I should hold off redeeming the code to avoid this problem alltogether and whether Adobe has any plans to fix it in the future. If the problem will still occur in a month, because no one is bothering to find a fix, then it makes no difference. If Adobe plans to fix it, then I'd rather wait instead of going down the frustrating customer support route.

Same here: This code is from a country or region that does not match your Adobe ID.

I live in Bosnia and I cannot buy licenses through the Adobe site, because my country is not recognized.

The only thing left for me is to try to open another account and buy licenses via VPN, which is not legal.

Morning
I went to redeem new Photoshop Plan redemption code this morning and got an error message saying redemption code limit exceeded...help desk called me but got disconnected, then texted back and forth and still no solution.
I had redeemed original code that I was rewarded with from Adobe (Congratulations! Click here to choose and redeem your Creative Cloud app) 2 weeks ago but it did not extend my current subscription which expires Mar 6, 2024, so they cancelled it and reissued a new code which as I said tried this morning. Help support was a bit frustrating and not sure where I stand right now. I provided them with the new redemption code and my name phone number but not entirely sure what they will or can do.

Vlado, Sofijab and anybody else with this issue:
Go to Adobe Help Center, accessible through CC Desktop App also, then click on chat balloon in lower right corner of your screen to start the chat with the bot. The bot will offer some useful links but not a solution for this issue so finally it will connect you with an Adobe agent. Let them know you have a "country/region problem". It will be resolved in few steps  :)

Igor, please, can you explain to me how you managed to succeed?
For days now, I've been trying, I've sent messages to Adobe support, but without success.

I tried through live chat with agents, but none of the Adobe support agents wanted to help me. They say they will help me, but then they don't respond and leave me waiting.
They say that some other agent will help me, but they just end the connection.

I'm truly deeply disappointed, I don't understand why suddenly I can't use the bonus code, even though there haven't been any problems before. I simply don't understand why they're doing this to us, it's not right.

Igor, please, can you explain to me how you managed to succeed?

I had to wait for about 10 days. I believe it was friday when I had a chat with Adobe agent, explained the problem, provided screenshots, etc. They have replied a week later, asking me to provide them the "faulty" code, and then the next monday I have received an email with new code. I guess the weekends prolonged it, but either way, it was worth waiting

Make sure you give all the relevant information to support - let them know that you are an Adobe contributor, that you have problem redeeming the Bonus plan code and that you receive "country/region mismatch" error. Maybe this will help the agent sort this out for you. Good luck!

Hi Matt,
Went to check now and I have 500+ downloads, and 30+ uploads in 2023.
However, I did not get my redeem code. I went to double check my upload approval, and most of them occurred in January, even though the files were uploaded  early December.
Is this supposed to be like this? Do I not qualify because of that?
I thought the rule was "images uploaded in 2023". :(

If you uploaded the files in December, 2022 and didn't upload any in 2023, you are likely not qualified. Please write to support using the contact us link found at the bottom of the portal and they will be able to confirm with you.

I uploaded in December 2023, approved 7'th Jan 2024.
According to Jo Anns comment, it needs to be approved in 2023.

So apparently I missed it because of the approval time. Seems a bit unfair but, hey, it is what it is. :(
