And I say NO, like every year. And also, next year, I will say NO and then again NO again.

I have almost 1500 eligible photos.

like every year, thanks for reducing the competition

😂

Check your dashboard for info.

Thanks for calling this out, Sean!

Yes! The Free collection is back for photos and nominations are open. Please sign into the contributor portal and nominate any and/or all eligible photos as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Mat Hayward

What about vectors ?

It's only photos at this time. Vectors are not up for renewal yet. Thanks for the question.

-Mat

Can we expect this for video and vectors soon ?

I guess the criteria are different?
Previous years it was media with no sales (or recent) but this year ive got a LOT of them appearing with 100 or so sales on here previously.

The criteria is the same according o the mail: Not more than  assets that have been downloaded 4 or more times in the paid collection in the last 12 months.

I will opt-in all my suggested assets,as for me they can put them all in the free collection, because they pay me,and I always have all my best sellers on sale plus thousands more contents and selected content will only remain in the free collection for one year.
However, they will most likely only select a small percentage as usual.

It's a tricky balancing act.

A few things:

- once something has been free it tends to be "in the wild" in large numbers forever more.  This potentially affects future sales after that 12 months.

- Sometimes things sell well elsewhere but not here.  Making it free could affect sales elsewhere.

- If you have similar images paid to free (but not the same) buyers might select the free and not the paid

Its a balancing act everyone needs to make for themselves and what works for one person may not work for another.

Maybe yes, what works for one person may not work for another.

However,I think instead that:
-If I have similar images in the free collection this can attract potential customers to look in my portfolio.

-From what I have been able to verify,I have sold the same content to other agencies,in fact I don't even think that whoever downloaded that content was aware that it was available in the Adobe free collection.

-I thought so too,but from what I've seen it seems to me that nothing has changed, and once the content came out of the free collection it started selling again as usual.

I believe that the best thing to do is to opt-in for all possible content, and to take money for our work, especially if you have a portfolio of at least 5,000 contents.

Still undecided on these.
I've got about 3,700 eligible assets, roughly 1500 of those have never sold on *Adobe* but many have elsewhere (several are best sellers).

3 more days of deciding then changing my mine and altering to go!

sorry but did i understand correctly?Do you have eligible assets with 0 sales?
I haven't checked very well, but it seems to me that I don't have any eligible assets that I've never sold on AS.

Assuming its showing total downloads of all time on AS (i think it is) then yes, about 1,500 of them.

interesting because now I checked the "eligible for free collection" box and I saw that I only have 2 eligible assets with 0 sales, all the rest have at least 1 sale.

you probably have a huge portfolio,at least 10,000 contents but probably more.

2009 or so.

But my day job involves taking a lot of images, most of which i can use for stock which helps a lot.

really impressive, you are very good! :D
I think that every result above 1000 uploads per year especially for many consecutive years is very difficult, but then of course it also depends on the kind of content.

thanks! :)

I am super confused... I nominated the assets a few days ago, but my selection has disappeared, and no item is showing as selected.
Does anybody else have this issue?

I got 2 clips nominated for free earning me $16. Two clips that have barely sold I'm happy.

I asked for a payout on May 29. Usually the payment arrives like clockwork 7 days later.

But now the payout hasn`t happened, day 11.

Is it possible that payouts are being delayed to add the bulk payments from free collection images?

Or is this just happening with me?

I just looked up my payments and it has never been always 7 days like clockwork for me:
May: 7 days, April: 7 days, March: 10 days, February: 10 days, Janury: 6 days, Dezember: 11 days.
Always something between 6 and 11 days.

I don't think paymets from the free collection will be coming in before the images have even been selected and payment added to our accounts. That would be weird.

Thank you, then I will just assume it is still coming. I guess I got lucky with my 7 days cycle.

I guess I got lucky with my 7 days cycle.
Previously, if I ordered a withdrawal before the end of the week (preferably on Saturday), then they are sent on Thursday (less than 7 days). But the last weeks are sent a couple of days later.
