Title: Adobe - Similar Image(s) Already Submitted
Post by: PokemonMaster on April 09, 2025, 12:01
Today Adobe review process takes a few iterations. Day by day they review every batch by 1-10 images ad leave something for the next wave. Yes, there are images which stuck forever, but I keep it apart for now. What I really don't like is that currently we have one Terminator inspector, who review the remains of the batches and reject them all by Similar Image(s) Already Submitted. Is he trying to shorten the queue in a fast and easy way?

Sure, we all make similar images. It's a part of our job. But I had rejections of the first image of the series, when I had absolutely nothing related in my portfolio. And a couple of rejections of a young series, where I had only 1-2 images accepted.

Interesting term "Terminator Inspector".

I have seen this elsewhere too.  Recently on IS, which generally accepts everything as long as property criteria is satisfied.  RF shot rejected for

This file appears to be a duplicate or too similar to other files you’ve submitted before. More variety in your compositions will be more useful to our collection.

It was sunset from Pico de la Nieve on Spain Canary Islands,  only time I've been there in my life so definitely not "similar".   Submitted again, and naturally it went through.

Maybe it is the same person that works for different agencies.

I too have had rejections for similar content, when in reality there was nothing similar in my port, then I read on the Adobe pages that the rejection for similar content is also related to the Adobe Stock library.

That's what support said to me, but I treated it as a joke. There are not much things in the world, which are not in the base and have commercial value.

Isn't it an old Shutterstock term?  :)

I don't reupload this files right now, just collecting it for later. But of course, the same series pass through successfully.
Also, I don't want to be prosecuted one day for "too much similars uploaded".

If that's the case then they effectively want no new content.
Everything has been done before by someone. Nothing left to submit.

There is still a lot to do,but we can say that the genres with the highest sales potential are definitely crowded,at least when it comes to photos

the only solution is trying to produce original way, which is certainly not simple, always with regards to photos, while for videos, vectors and illustrations there is still space.

Yesterday I had some accepted, some rejected "for quality reasons".  All non-editorial.  I resubmit, and this morning all accepted.

Different reviewer most likely. This cat and mouse game is becoming quite ridiculous and has nothing to do with consistency or quality

Submission to faulty algorithms, that's what Adobe promises us. Times have truly changed. Absolute contempt for human reality.

Just like the delays, some of the reviews are just what you say. Ridiculous game.

I want to add that I wrote this before and people keep telling me, "Oh no it doesn't say that." Yes, Adobe does and they have before.

And for some other creative theories, how's that caption things working for people who claim, that leaving out specifics and places, makes things go faster. Now we have, smaller batches are faster. Note: I only upload small batches, always have, and I have had images fall into a black hole of review. When that theory is debunked there will be another new theory, of how to beat the flaws in the system.

But you are right. "This cat and mouse game is becoming quite ridiculous and has nothing to do with consistency or quality"

Self inflicted and everyone saw it coming except it seems Adobe.

It was utterly obvious when they allowed AI they'd be swamped by mass market test prompt spam uploads.

They now have so much being submitted they need increasingly automated rapidly deployed and poorly tested systems to keep up with the load. There's no time for humans now.

They've quite literally bet the company's future on AI. It's all that really matters now. Data sets.
