Syncing worked fine.
Has Adobe considered giving contributors a break on the cost of Adobe CC? That would be great.

There is no "thumbs", when viewing sales through adobe...

I have a question though, how do you set price for EL through Adobe, I'm uploaded few files there, I don't see that option...

Very difficult to login it would not accept my Fotolia login, I created a new login and it recognised my email but asked for a capital letter for the login password. There seems to be a problem with using lowercase only, which is what my Fotolia password is, to say this is a problem from a major company like Adobe is an understatement.

Once I did login somehow after loads of rejections, I went to the Sales page and the download commission rates on the Adobe site are at a lower rate then on the Fotolia site, whats that all about?

I have asked them to fix it awaiting response, is anybody else having this problem?

I thought they were supposed to be synced.

Ok, I see it now, it's not editable yet, looks like, I'm not gonna upload through Adobe, since I put EL price for all my files to 100.

EDIT: Looks like, I can change pricing through fotolia....

Well, I did it

But the FAQ is not clear in my opinion

The FAQ says:
"When you sign into the Contributor portal for the first time, youll be asked if you are registered as a contributor on the Fotolia site. If so, you will need to enter your Fotolia login and sync your accounts."

This means that when I sign into the Adobe page I should expect that on this page I will be asked if I am registered as a contributor on the Fotolia site.
But it is not like this.
1) I had to sign into the portal with my Adobe data
2) then, once entered, it is asked if I am registered as a contributor on the Fotolia site.

So the text of the FAQ should be:
"Once you have signed into the Contributor portal for the first time, with your Adobe data, then youll be asked if you are registered as a contributor on the Fotolia site. If so, you will need to enter your Fotolia login and sync your accounts."

Just uploaded a file to check it out - I can't change the EL price - it says "coming soon" so I'll go back to using Fotolia to upload until that is fixed. Too bad. I like the Adobe interface better in terms of uploading but for the inability to change the EL price.
Also I think we should be grandfathered in to the higher Fotolia prices. They are low enough not to have Adobe lower them further. Not happy with that.
Haven't tried the LR and BR interfaces yet. Hope we'll get a long head's up if they phase out Fotolia. For now, we need it since the Adobe interface doesn't have all the same capabilities.
Thanks for the info Mat.

You can change pricing on Fotolia. Images are mirrored to Fotolia site immediately...I changed it that way, uploaded through ADobe, saved it, then changed pricing through fotolia...

The portfolio view is also much better than on Fotolia however it should really show what we've earned per photo and not just the number of sales and views. That would be a big improvement and would make the interface as useful as other sites such as SS and DT which give you that info.
If you could please suggest that to the developers Mat, it'd be great. Thanks!

Thanks Dumc however since I submitted it through Adobe, and didn't just upload it, the Fotolia site won't let me make any changes until the image is approved.  :-\

Sorry guys my question again!

My email for Adobe ID is different as my email login for Fotolia site.

I would really like to know what to choose to sync correctly my Fotolia account with new Adobe Contributor portal: "Create an Adobe ID" or "Continue with my Adobe ID" ? It is OK to choose Continue with my Adobe ID although i have different email for Fotolia contributor page?

Thank you :)

I stick with Fotolia for uploading and so on. The site is working perfectly right now. I was talking to some Adobe person prior to the merger and he was promissing this and that of which none have materialized.
For some reason I see Adobe more like SS. Too big and with lots of bean counters pulling the strings.
Might be wrong of course.

@Dumc, thanks for the questions. We are aware of the thumbnail issue in the sales page. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

You can't adjust prices in the portal at this time. The extended license is set to 30 credits for white rank, 60 credits for bronze and 80 credits for silver and above.

If you are at a higher rank and prefer to upload through the portal but want different EL prices you are welcome to contact me directly for bulk changes to pricing on your entire portfolio.

@H20 you may have an old password grandfathered in at Fotolia but the same criteria now applies for both FT and AS. Password must be at least 8 characters long, have at least one capitol letter, one lower case letter, one number and one special character.

@wordplanet, great suggestion. I will add it to the list of feedback and requested features.

@seanlocke, thanks for the information. I'm not sure what would have caused that. I'll make a note for the engineers.

@graphs80, you can set the main category. One of the biggest pain points reported by contributors regarding the upload process was the category selection process. The intent is to simplify it for everyone.

@alexzappa yes, you can submit to Adobe Stock ftp if you prefer. It doesn't make a difference though. If you upload via Adobe Stock ftp the files will show up in Fotolia indexing tool also and vice versa.

@Dodie, commission structure is the same. No changes have been made and it doesn't make a difference if you submit via the portal or Fotolia.

You should be able to keep your existing Adobe ID and sync it to your existing Fotolia account. It just won't be automatic since your email address is different.

Haha same here and you even get notice about the problem. Adobe s*cks and I will never buy into their software subscription If they pay 50% and stop image subscription I will rethink but really they could change the market for the better but they dropped the ball!

Thanks Matt for coming back about passwords.

What about commission rates being different on the two sites, Adobe Stock is showing a lower commission, so they are not syncing.

Thank you I choose Continue with my Adobe ID.

But next step is here:
When I insert my Fotolia password there is message: "Your credentials could not be authenticated. Please try again."

I can't change my login name, just type my password but is incorrect. When I press "I forgot my password" then page goes on my Fotolia Contributor page.

What can I do?

Thank you

Commission rates are the same. All images sold on Adobe Stock are paid 33% of the price paid. Fotolia subscriptions also result in commission of 33% paid. Fotolia credits sales are paid a percentage based on your rank. Please note that in your sales stats on Adobe Stock, this will also include your Fotolia sales just like Fotolia stats include Adobe Stock sales.

Is that where the disconnect is or is there another issue? If so, please provide specific details so I can check it out.

Thanks,

Mat

You are not able to adjust your extended license prices when submitting through the portal. If you are ranked silver or higher, the price will automatically be set to 80 credits.

I'm happy to do bulk changes to 100 credits on your portfolio if you reach out to me directly.

Synced, worked beautifully. Uploaded an image to see the process. Like the keyword suggestions.

Questions: We don't need to add a description any more? I don't see the checkboxes for exclusive or allowing the content to go to the free section. Are those coming in future updates?

Fotolia. The most needlessly painful site to keyword. Among the worst in ridiculous file reviews and useless contributor support when trying to deal with stupid rejections. Now, instead of migrating everything over to the new parent company automatically, they make a post in a forum that you'd have to happen to stumble upon that suggests we "should probably log in and sync". Would sending out an email to everyone be too hard?

So then, we have to manually log into Adobe and "sync" to set up a duplicate account, for no clear benefit other than a vague "it's probably a good idea, otherwise you might be punished in the future with a rank drop" reasoning. Are you planning on closing Fotolia? If so, maybe just SAY that and give a deadline instead of beating around the bush. Opening a second site for uploads, selling the same product, with all sorts of bugs, while leaving the original as is, all "syncing" to each other. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Can't imagine it's not confusing to customers. Fotolia, always doing things the worst way possible.

Either just rebrand or migrate EVERYTHING over and keep logins intact. What's the point of this whole "log in and sync" process??

On top of that, tried logging into Adobe through the given link with my Fotolia username and password. Nothing. Email and Fotolia password. Nothing. So here I go, emailing what seems to be the only person that works for Fotolia to try to straighten it out...

I'm silver yes. I uploaded a few photos through Adobe stock, edited them (category, release), than saved it (didn't submit yet), and then went on Fotolia site, and there I changed my price to 100, and then went back to Adobe stock and submited. I guess Adobe didn't synced price change with Fotolia. Anyway, I'll just change it, when they will be (hopefully) accepted.

I had to log in, through the link Mat posted in the first post here, and use my Adobe login. Once I did that, a window came up and said that they noticed I have a Fotolia account and did I want to sync. Maybe try that?

Maybe Adobe will be sending out an email. If they do, I am kind of glad we got a heads up first here so we can interact with Mat before the flood happens. I suspect they will close Fotolia altogether at some point, but I see benefits for all of us in doing it this way.

Do I need to create an account on Adobe stock to do this?  I use Adobe PS LR etc but only Adobe stock via Fotolia?

The ability to edit and correct typos would be reason enough to crate an acct and then synch.
