On Tuesday September 17 at 1PM PSD I will be speaking with Adobe Stock Indexing Lead Tracy Wolfe about all effective keywords and titles to increase visibility of your content.

If interested, sign up to attend live here:
https://www.crowdcast.io/e/keywords-count-effective

We will do our best to get to answer any questions you may have live during the webinar. If you can't make it at that time, the same URL will take you to the recording after we are finished.

I hope to see you there!

-Mat Hayward

Account disabled because of enforced 2 steps login. Asked to send code by mail, but login page allows only phone number. Because of this bug account is blocked. Where did you look for developers? Wasted my time with your bugs

I hope someone who participates will come back here with some answers about keywords, the weighting and the search. I'm working at that time, and can't participate, couldn't even watch. Noise and safety issues.

It's 3am here in Finland so probably I'm not going to see the live stream but I do appreciate the webinar is available afterwards as well. The subject is very interesting - looking forward to your presentation. Good luck, Mat!  :)

Hello

I have a question about the sale of photos tagged in foreign languages.
I agree with Fotolia and adobe stock from Turkey.

I was tagging Fotolia in Turkish. Now, the only labeling of the vet stock is being done in English.

old photos tagged in Turkish, my sale is downgrading.

that's a reason why my sales are going down.

Thank you very much.

Available after the event would be nice.  Or a transcript or something anyway.

Hi Mat - How about - why can't we do a sort in Lightroom to put our keywords into priority order when that is what Adobe Stock requires?

Hey Mat just watched the webinar recording and it was a really informative event. I learned a lot of new things about keywording and the importance of it. Much appreciated that you give up your time to help others!

For non-native speakers someone could remember what did they say about words as time-lapse? I was not able to understand which form do they prefer, with or without dash.

Thanks.

Wasn't this public information to share and help anyone?

Why do I have to join and share all my personal info  with a site I don't want to, just to watch a replay?

Ι think you can join with email using a secondary one if you wish some sort of privacy?

No you can't. After your email address they are asking for your name, town.....agree with their terms, take a tour of the site and even when you fill in everything, it is just a black screen, the video is not playing.

I was registered with email for watching later reason. It is crowdcast.io requirment to fill some info I believe, not Adobe's.
They ask for registered email and used the registered name to say "Welcome back George", "George here is yoor link" etc.
Although I dunno where the city info is needed. Anyway playback seems to work (and Mat wears an ugly shirt but don't tell him! :P).

Tested with Chrome.

I know that, Adobe has all my data anyway. Why would I share all my personal info with another social media  site that has nothing to offer to me but I understand that it is a useful marketing tool.

I'll just pass, thanks.

WHAT! Oh man, that one cut me deep. If I had feelings, they would have been really hurt by this. The banana shirt is the best. Though, when I brought the shirt home, my wife did make a point to mention/recommend that I take her with me next time I decide to update my wardrobe. Hmmmm, maybe there was a subliminal message there.....

Nope, the shirt is still awesome. :)

Just had a chance to watch the replay and ended up with a page full of notes! So much great information here and I'm really looking forward to the episode with the search team.  Thanks so much for this Mat!  I think Adobe is really doing a good job of being open and accessible to contributors and it's super refreshing.

I don't sell on Adobe Stock but I did watch the webinar. I wondered a lot why they don't have a controlled vocabulary system like Gettyimages. CV would do away with problems that seems to come up with different ways of spelling words and phrases and would make translation much easier. CV would be a pain in the butt to setup, but once setup would be a more reliable way to search (IMHO).

Also I wondered a lot about the putting the most important top 10 keywords first. That would be a pain in the butt to do manually for all images. Keywording is already time consuming enough as it is, without spending time thinking about which 10 keywords is even more important. In fact in my own experience selling on iStock, I've actually noticed that I had no idea which words customers use the most to find my own images, not until I started spending time looking at the landing page for each of my images and look at the keyword order that has been rearranged by iStock in order of searches. Since I only sell on iStock I could be quite biased, but I think their method of doing A/B testing on keywords and organically figuring out which ones are more important is a better method than the contributor choosing which ones. That is the entire point of A/B testing, that customers know best.

I also thought that when there are 50 keywords all keywords are flat vs 49 keywords or less, then keywords are weighted. Seems not smart. A/B testing would have solved this quirk. There is no need to assume someone is spamming if they have 50 keywords vs 49 if you just did A/B testing.

Anyway, these are just my uneducated thoughts.
