We are pleased to announce that Adobe Stock is now selling HD video content, providing you with the opportunity to reach Adobe's large audience of video users. Starting today, HD video files are available to Adobe Stock members for $79.99 USD.

The standard royalty rate for all Adobe Stock video sales is 35%. Those of you that are ranked Emerald or above prior to November 23 will receive a rate of 40% to reflect your past achievements and contributions. As with all Adobe Stock sales, your commissions are paid directly into your Fotolia account.

There is high demand for video in the industry. We are looking for 5-60 second clips of lifestyle/people, sports, aerial, nature, and general b-roll.

Clips will be sold through stock.adobe.com as well as directly through After Effects CC and Premiere Pro CC. Users will now be able to search for and license videos directly in their libraries panel, making for the most streamlined and efficient purchasing experience in the industry.

Some of you have noticed a change in the language of your sales emails regarding subscriptions vs. on-demand. Currently, the system is set up to report all Adobe Stock sales — including videos — as though they are part of a subscription even though they are not. The language in the emails has been changed, but the stats in your "my sales" page are still going to be shown as subscription sales for the time being. Please note that the engineering team is working to fix this and the issue should be resolved in the next several days.

Mat i see some of my clips offered at 4096X2304 at this price.
Actually only the hd clips show up on the adobe search but the 4K clips can also be found below  if you click on them at the "More From This Series" space below the main preview clip.
Are they for purchase as well at this resolution or adobe only offers a downconverted hd clip?
If yes why not display them as well in the main search results?

Just one question: why is there such a big price difference between US and EU sales, could you please explain or confirm?
In the email I received it reads:

I can't access the US site of Adobe Stock to check the pricing but according to your statement above:

If
1$ = 0.94€ (today)
↓
79.99$ = 75.19€

So we receive:

35% of 79.99$ (US sales) = 27.99$

vs.

35% of 59.99€ (EU sales) = 20.996€ = 22.336$

Is that correct or I do miss something?

Mat, I see my 4K content for sale on the stock.adobe.com site for 59.99 Euro.

Not cool!

I only uploaded 4K stuff to Fotolia recently because I saw the 4K resolution offered at the Enhanced License price for 200 credits.

If 4K stays at 59.99 Euro at Adobe Stock I will remove my 4K content.

Please advise.

Mat: The UK price is £39.99 the US price is $79.99  This is a big difference.

As I am based in UK would I get the US price if a buyer buys in $ in US?

Thanks everyone for the great questions. To clarify about prices and commissions based on zones. Yes, the prices are $79.99 USD or 59.99€ EUR based on where the purchase is made. That being said, regardless of what zone you are in as a contributor or where the purchase was made, you are paid a commission based on a $79.99 sale. All Adobe Stock video downloads are paying 28 credits to all contributors (32 credits if Emerald or above prior to Nov 30).

We are not currently delivering 4K files for download at Adobe Stock. We will provide you with more information about this as it comes available.

One other item of note, originally I posted that contributors ranked Emerald or above prior to November 23 would receive 40% commissions. The correct date is November 30, 2015.

-But still what happens to files that have originated from 4K?Can someone purchase them at all?

-If they can't be purchased why are they showing in search results even if only as relevant clips (if they show up by luck that is) .

I'm confused.

In the US 4K clips (3840 x 2160) are available to purchase for $79.99

There is no mention of a HD 1920 x 1080 format if the clip was only uploaded to Fotolia as 4K.

Are you saying that even though the Adobe website says 3840 x 2160 the customer gets 1920 x 1080 ?
If so, that's very misleading and extremely confusing.

Please clarify.

I have uploaded 4K clips (4096x2304) which were automatically downsized to HD (1920x1080) and offered for 60 credits, although when you buy an Extended License (200 credits) , you (apparently) get a 4K clip.

Please clarify whether or not these 4K clips are 'accidentally' being seen as an HD sale in Adobe Stock, as it certainly appears to be the case!

Thanks again for the great questions. Right now, some files being sold as HD are displaying their original 4K dimensions on Adobe Stock. A fix for this issue is expected soon. Please note that when a customer downloads one of these files, they do not receive a 4K file. Instead they receive the clip in HD. We apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused. To minimize further confusion we have temporarily made clips that were uploaded as 4K unavailable in the search results. Some files can still be seen when using a direct link though they are not seen when using the search tool. These files will be put back in the search results as soon as the fix is complete.

Yes Mat, please push for this information. I assume, as we are not allowed to double upload our clips, each in HD and 4K, to be able to delete 4K later if Adobe decides to keep the price at $79.99 or in that area, I would have to hold back all of my uploads now until pricing for 4K is set.

Otherwise it would be great if we could upload HD files that could be replaced with the 4K versions later to maintain clip IDs.
