So, if I am already on Fotolia should I open an account with Adobe stock or are they one and the same?

Can new photographer collections go directly through Adobe or do you still have to contribute via Fotolia?

You have to apply directly to Fotolia. All images on Adobe get there via Fotolia, no direct access.
