Title: AdobeStock blocked my account
Post by: TheLightStudio on June 08, 2020, 06:34
Hello everyone, I hope your sales are good. I can't sell because AdobeStock has blocked my account for 19 days. When I reached them, the only answer they gave me was “suspicious activity”. I sent an e-mail to learn the process, but after a few weeks, I did not get an answer to my mail. I haven't done anything wrong and I have been wronged for no reason.

Have you done something differently lately?

Maybe something has been mis-interpreted.  Tell us about your recent activities, maybe we can help you get this sorted out.

A link to one of your portfolios might help.

Did you get a lot of downloads from 10-images-for-free accounts maybe? One day I was silly and I used some DL's from my 10-free-images to download my own images. After I realized what I'd done, that I was getting paid for it, I immediately contacted them to refund them the money and revert the downloads. But generally it could be considered as suspicious activity.

No, there’s a reason. Suspicious activity. Did you download your own images? It could be someone downloaded images and a stolen credit card was used. It might not be something you did, or it could be something you did but didn’t realize you weren’t supposed to do. Reread the submitter’s agreement. Everyone makes mistakes, but generally accounts don’t get closed for no reason. There is always a reason.

Hi, thanks for your answer. My last activities are uploading mother's day sale banners and asking payout. After a few days, they blocked the account.

first of all, thank you for your answer. And you're right there is always a reason. I did not download my images I am sure of that. But if one of the customers did something about it why my account still under suspicions.

Many times we’ve had people here reporting the same and eventually there was an issue with the contributor or a buyer but Ive also seen many being blocked for no reason or the wrong reason, at Shutterstock.
They seem to be ok with stolen portfolios though and will only remove those who have been reported, if that.
They spot a similar image (which on many occasions is not so similar) from our portfolio in a blink of an eye and reject but they don’t spot stolen images or are ok with spamfolios which hold hundreds if not thousands of practically the exact same images?

But that is Shutterstock. I do hope Adobe is not taking the same path!
