Illustrative editorial is great, but when can we expect to see acceptance of Editorial shots with people on Adobestock?

And what about editorial video?  There was a talk about it several months ago

We are all waiting for this for years now. don't hold my breath that it is ever going to happen. In this field Adobe has been sleeping and SS and Getty/Istock Alamy have taken such a big advantage over the years that I doubt Adobe will be able to become a leader in Editorial. Too late for that.

It may be that Adobe has agreements with various Editorial suppliers for both stills and video and that is not why they have opened it up.

Who is using editorial images in Adobe softwares?

I guess no or very less.
We saw the new directiong from Adobe: Concentrating much more now on offering free images to software users. but do they need editorials?
So, why adobe should ad editorials to their libary?
I guess they ALLOW best sellers upload editorials as a small gift back for getting sales from customer who are not mainly using Adobe software.

As it is getting more and more difficult for any agency, Adobe concentrate on their basics.
So, being a best seller means: Your images will offered for free to Adobe software users.
And new images in total they do not care about anymore.

So, as a contributor, Adobe seems to be not worth it anymore:
New uploads - not worth it!
Old uploads: If their were regular sales before the change, keep them and get further regulary sales. And the other old ones? Depending on ranking, you have to find out. But new uploads is really not worth it anymore.

Well, lots of people do. When you have to make a design or presentation or a poster with pictures of people, landmarks, signs, news images on Illustrator or Photoshop, you do need editorials. I worked at a news channel for a couple of years and we had to make a few of these every week.

Of course they are. When you're making an internal presentation to a corporate and you use non-model released images, you're using those images in an editorial capacity. Also, the inner layouts of newspapers and magazines (online or print) don't make themselves. Many of them pages require careful design on photoshop or indesign or illustrator.

I guess no or very less.

After Adobe opened the illustrative editorial images submission to contributors, I sold many editorial images.
Actually I sell 50% editorial and 50% not, so in my experience I think you're wrong
