It's not in Adobe's interest to contribute to Putin's propaganda or seen as fueling his criminal war machine.
Putin's propaganda already have a wide variety of options. From third-party resellers and buyout licenses (yes!) to de facto legalized piracy.
But you are talking about your colleagues, microstock contributors, who just want to do things right. Remember, codes are distributed inside the industry. How can you imagine propaganda on the Adobe Stock, for example?

1. Russians contributors are paying taxes from earnings made from microstock, using tools made by Adobe. Their taxes are used wage war on Ukraine, to destroy cities, to kill civilians, to torture, to rape and plunder.
Adobe surely doesn't want to be associated with that.

2. All the propaganda memes below (and many more flooding the internet) were most probably created using Adobe products.
Potentially giving tools for free to such "artists", and enabling Putin's propaganda is too risky.
Adobe surely doesn't want to be associated with that.

Does Adobe banned  its products for russian users?

I hope they did.

They must have done it. It's just common sense.

If someone has violated a crime, is it necessary to put all his relatives, friends, neighbors, classmates and so on in jail?
If he committed a crime with a hammer, should all his countrymen be banned from selling hammers?
"Just common sense"?
Dear colleagues! Let's look in the mirror more often, Let's not get into xenophobia and politics, but discuss issues related to microstocks.

I think we should avoid this discussion here :)
1 - You may be right, but not everything is so simple. Starting with the fact that the taxes of the contributor are nothing compared to the industrial exports from RU to the US and the EU, which are still working (I'm not talking about oil and gas). Ending with the fact that half of the contributors pay only local taxes, which are not distributed to government needs
2 - Please remove the pics :) It's mostly done with online tools or warez, and it's always been that way. But I want to say that this is not done by the contributors, who are much more open, active and supportive. Really, I don't know a single one who accepts this aggression

We don't send them to jail, but we don't do business with them as long as they continue to support directly or indirectly those criminals who killed their fomer buddies by smashing their heads with a sledgehammer (among many other atrocities).

We don't do business with them as long as they continue to support the bosses (read Putin) who ordered those atrocities.

It's just common sense.

PS. That trash requires some illustration skills, so it's very probable that illustration tools (very possible from Adobe too) were used to create that.

Russians write that Crimea is Russia. In fact, Crimea is Ukraine!

As far as I understand, you can have it installed on as many computers as you want. You can have it active on two computers simultaneously. I recommend you double check at adobe.com to make sure.

Thanks,

Mat Hayward

As difficult and heartbreaking as the situation is, could we please keep politics out of this thread?

Or maybe open an offtopic thread about the subject.

Personally I believe our Russian colleagues do not support the war. Artists and creatives are usually supporters of freedom, peace, lgbt rightsetc

I see them as additional victims of Putins oppression and war, but that is just my 2 cents.

But a perhaps if someone opens a different thread we can collect information and share our opinions peacefully and constructively.

Except for the illustrators who created those propaganda memes, as you can see above.  ;)

I don't see a reason for your wishful thinking.

Microstock is a side job for a large majority of the contributors, Russian inclusive.
Besides those propagandist illustrators, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that even people working directly in the Russian war industry do microstock to supplement their income.

I myself would also be interested in a peaceful and constructive exchange with our Russian colleagues.
I assume that not the entire population is behind Putin, but certainly not everyone has the opportunity to leave the country.
Not to mention any public protest.

Whether that is possible here, I have my doubts.

Naivete 100%. There, 90-95% of people are poisoned by propaganda. Of course, some may not support the war in the literal sense, but ask them whose Crimea and Donbass and most will tell you that this is Russia. Putin's support there is huge. Almost all stockers from Russia, in the description of the photo from Crimea they write that Crimea is Russia. This is propaganda, this is support for terrorism, occupation, war and genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Guys, you are not helping Ukraine by flooding the thread. I'd say, you do exactly the opposite.
Sorry, this is my last words about it here

Among those who dont support the war, can they say so publicly? Even on an anonymish forum like MSG? Or will they end up arrested?

You rested only on the word war. Russians support the fascist regime and Putin, support the occupation of Crimea and Donbass, support Putin's demands for peace. This is enough for the Putin regime to do whatever it wants.
Of course there are 5%, maybe 10% of those who do not support all evil. But what is 10%? Any Russian stoker who writes in his stock photo that Crimea is Russia is already an accomplice in Russia's crimes.

No worries.
The real help for Ukraine comes from actual donations and from constantly asking for sanctions against Ruscism to be widely implemented and maintained.
That includes restrictions against the use of "western" products like Adobe software. Isn't their propaganda claiming that "the West" is corrupt and decaying? Is so, they shouldn't even need Adobe products.

Its fairly pointless blocking software as its so easy to get around.
All (most at least!) of us pay for rent or buy the software we use but a 30 second look on the torrent sites and i could find a working version of Adobe CC apps, Resolve and pretty much anything else to download.  Block the legal version they'll just all switch to that (if they dont already).  Most of the big torrent sites are Russian and have been for decades.

Sanctions on public available software really don't work in areas with little or no IP/copyright enforcement.

Given this is a country that literally stole several hundred aircraft last year with full assistance of the government i suspect following up on IP theft to a hostile nation isnt going to be high on their list of priorities.

Worrying about the above gets nobody anywhere - just have to accept its happening and not let it get to you.

OK. Back to topic.

I am donating, you are flooding the thread

Excellent 👏👏👏! I am also donating.
But it looks to me that you can't refrain from contributing to the "flood", despite saying that you said your last word, a few posts above ;)

Sorry, you mean your Adobe software were expired for 2 weeks already and you are currently waiting for the code, but unsure when it will arrive? Is that what you are trying to say?

That's right. Also, I am not sure if I will actually get the code. But we discussed it on previous two pages and it is safe to skip

Take a look at the Adobe Stock Contributor portal now. If you qualified for the bonus code, you should now see the blue redemption bar. Congratulations to everyone who qualified and THANK YOU for being such an important part of Adobe Stock!

Without you, there is no us.
