Just got another pop-up for a mission in my dashboard:

"Videos Mission SFX: Everyday Objects & Materials
Capture video clips with audio (10–30 sec) where every sound matches a visible action. Each clip should contain one action, with the sound coming from a clear object or action in real-life settings.
Assets for this Mission do not require releases, metadata or post-processing.
Volume: Upload 50 to 50 assets per submission. Up to 1 submissions | Used: 0"


Compensation: 92 USD

That´s less than 2 Dollars per clip. For gathering items, setting up everything, making the videos and titling them accordingly (that´s a must in the detailed briefing) I would say it´s minimum 3 hours. I´ll pass again.

Do you see the mission? What´s your compensation?

Every time I receive their humiliating proposal of slavery to feed the machine that has become master, I feel ashamed for them. I remain human and free.

I had this mission and completed one of the two. I also had to buy a directional microphone. It took me more than three hours. In my opinion, it's not worth it for $92; I got the exact same rate. I'm a bit surprised they want such large packages instead of 10-20 clips.

My Mission is to get . out of this business and find a real job...

That's what I charge for 1 - 1.5 hours of my time, when doing "missions" for real clients  .

But  directional microphones are needed for this mission, if you don't have you can't do it. It's not worth buy a directional microphone for this mission.
