Title: Are there ANY quality standards?
Post by: daveh900 on June 09, 2020, 09:29
100's of pages of text dropped onto the same low quality backgrounds with inaccurate keywords...

Awesome! What nerve! They're going through the dictionary and sticking a couple of triangles behind the words. If they get a download they get the same as someone that has spent a week or two on an illustration or spent a fortune on a location shoot.

At lease SS has made us open our eyes to how insane and unsustainable this industry has become. RPI is so low agencies can't even afford to pay a reviewer for the return an image will get them, let alone the leftovers we get.

That is why I don't think Adobe is the way forward either. While we're waiting for reviews, +11 days now for me these guys probably get their work reviewed on the same day. Because this time the reviewer doesn't have to actually look at the images, just hit that approve button on all 100 or 1000 duplicates.

While I thought Adobe was stricter I'm seeing the same issues popping up at Adobe. The RPD is better but that's about it. Same issues with reviewers as SS. Rejecting good work and accepting low quality and duplicates.
How many of us had good sellers that one agency accepted and the other rejected? "oh, we have enough of that" or "we're not looking for that type of work" or even "similar already accepted" or maybe "it's just not 100% sharp enough, only 99,9%"

Yeah right but you do take in 1000 duplicates, stolen images and what not.

Speaking of which how about spamfolio's and stolen work at AS? is it as bad as SS or? no right? I hope so anyway.

ps. I think I need some time off from this forum. Every time I discuss Microstock my blood pressure goes up a few notches. I get so frustrated about all this. I guess I'm just not cut out for this sneaky business.
We're trying to be professional and get to work with a bunch of 12 year olds.

Hmmmmmmmmm  ::)

I'm afraid the enormous influx of contributors from SS is going to overload the reviewing system of Adobe, to the point of them blindly accepting everything, just to clear the backlog.

It's sad to see agencies dumbing down their quality requirements. Or failing to be consistent, at the very least.
