Title: Big problem with keywords.
Post by: trabuco on March 13, 2019, 09:33
Hi.

I have a problem with my uploads on Adobe. Some of the keywords disappear and are replaced by other words than have no relation  with the picture.

Like "castle" "England" or  "stockholm" for a view of Notre Dame and the Seine river. The last time it happened in a two pictures batch labeled and sent together. They got different keywords that I dindn't set, I mean, setted the same keywords fot the two pictures, but now they are different and have these words with no relation with mine.

Anyone has this problem too?

The order is different too, doesn't match with mine.

I can't reupload every single picture one by one when accepted so... I'm thinking to stop uploading or maybe quit and delete my 700 portfolio.

--> The problem happens when I set several pictures with the same title and keywords, churchs of Paris labeled as "Italy" or "tuscany" and things like that.

Well, dozens of pictures are wrong labeled. All the times that I have sent more than one single picture.

I use to copy and paste text. It's some kind of bug with the multiple sendings. Going to revise this files now.

The single file sendings are ok.

If this help, the first times i bulk submitted clips, although i deleted suggested keywords and pasted own, in accepted files appeared both suggested and own. Suggested usually were generic or irrelevant. It wass my mistake, i didn't hit "save" on single files before submitting.
An easy way to check before submitting after that was to see the little number (keywords) in thumbnails before hitting submit. If a file on a bulk submit had different (bigger) number of keywords it also included the suggested, autogenerated tags.

:)

Thanks.

I think I'm going to send them one by one in the future. I use to send 10 pictures batches.

It happened to me just for one image and I noticed that before I hit Submit button. I am always saving keywords in Photoshop, but for that image all my keywords were replaced with others. Later I randomly checked previously submitted images, looks it hasn't happened before.

Well, I have this problem with some pictures sent one by one too.

I can't undertand what happened. Looks like a joke from the revision.

So, have to revise all my pictures on Adobe one by one. When they are changed, the number of keywords is much lower than I setted. So I click and check the number.

The support told me that sometimes there's a problem with the software to label (that I don't use) or a problem with their automatic keywords. So, doesn't know.

Looks like a problem with the automatic keywords, an stupid tool anyway.

As far as I can see:

a) ALL the multiple batches are wrong.
b) Most of single batches are ok. Some of them, very few I think, are wrong.

The mistakes are BIG, most of them wrong countries, wrong places and wrong buildings (church instead of a lighthouse or "factory" and "chimney" in Trafalgar Square for the Nelson's Column).

A great help the automatic generated words.

Never had a problem, which makes me wonder why many others haven't had the same as you. Did I unclick suggestions or something?

But also just asking for interest because it matters. What are you using to keyword? What computer, what browser? That can make a difference.

For example if you are on a MAC with Opera and I'm on WIN10 with FireFox, we are not having the website handle us all the same.  :)

Might be helpful to get answers from someone using the same as you are.

I use to paste words from a text file after deleting and deactivating automatic generated keywords.

I'm using Linux (Ubuntu) and LibreOffice Writer, an .odt text file.

Chrome Browser.

Everything uses to work fine.

Well, gonna return to my private party.

LOL well someone using Linux might have the same issues and that will help you narrow it down.

No I don't paste from text I have all my words, title, description and data ,in the photos, before I upload.

Good Luck finding what's going on. At least you have narrowed it down a little so someone can match and see if they can help you.

It's not a problem with my system. It's the web.
